The 7th international Baltic regatta “Ust Luga Cup”

On June 1 the 7th international Baltic regatta “Ust Luga Cup” opened in the southernmost seaport of Finland, Hanko.

Racing routes of the regatta, which is held with the support of the Russian Transport Ministry and the Russian Yachting Federation, connected the seaports of Finland and Estonia in 2018.

Every year teams of non-professional yachtsmen – representatives of port organizations and their partners take part in the competitions. The regatta is held under the slogan “One Sea, One Profession, One Fate”, and it is the greatest sailing race in the Baltic Sea.

This jubilee year the team comprised of the employees of the enterprise participates in the regatta for the third time.

The 2018 yacht regatta includes 14 vessels. Among them is the Pegasus yacht headed by its captain Andrei Kovalev, head of the agency department of the FSUE “Rosmorport” North-Western Basin Branch. Among the crewmembers there are chief specialist of the control service Sergei Boichenko, consultant of the design, planning and finance department of capital construction facilities Sergei Dadyka, chief of the technical support center Gennady Drobnis, pilot I category Sergei Larenkov and VTMS St Petersburg operator Sergei Spiridonov.

Crew of the Pegasus yacht have come into the second division of the regatta. It includes five yachts.

Based on the results of the race, which started on June 3 on the Hanko port –Helsinki port route of over 70 nautical miles long, the Pegasus yacht moored at the berths of Katajonokka marina of the port of Helsinki in the center of the capital of Finland and came fifth.

As the result of the race, which consisted of five stages between the seaports of Hanko, Helsinki and Tallinn, the Pegasus yacht crew scored 20 points and came fourth in the final score.
