     1. General information

     The FSUE “Rosmorport” North-Western Basin Branch renders dredging services to all concerned organizations on the contract base given free technical means at operational waters of berths, in the areas of anchoring stations and particular locations of the water areas of the seaports of Big Port Saint Petersburg, Vyborg, Vysotsk, Kaliningrad, Passenger Port Saint Petersburg, Primorsk and Ust Luga.

     Dredging services in the seaports, except for the seaport of Kaliningrad, are rendered from May to September and such services are provided in the seaport of Kaliningrad all year round.

     Dredging works are carried out by the North-Western Basin Branch by using four vessels of the Branch:

     - the Kronshlot trailing suction hopper holder dredger equipped with the dredger located on the right board that is intended for extracting bottom of 1-3 categories, independently transporting extracted bottom to the site of unloading, for unloading bottom through bottom doors and from the bulge, for unloading bottom ashore through the forward nozzle to the shore discharge pipe, as well as by the Rainbow method with the discharge distance of about 60 meters;

     - the Sommers trailing suction hopper holder dredger equipped with the dredger located on the right board that is intended for extracting bottom of 1-3 categories, independently transporting extracted bottom to the site of unloading, for unloading bottom through bottom doors and from the bulge, for unloading bottom ashore through the forward nozzle to the shore discharge pipe, as well as by the Rainbow method with the discharge distance of about 60 meters;

     - the WAKA NAMI GO cutter-head dredger representing the Hitachi hydraulic excavator built up on the pontoon with three support pillars equipped with scoops with the size of 3.5 m3, 7.0 m3, 8.2 m3 to excavate bottom of 1-5 categories;

     - the FORT self-propelled scow with the bulge capacity of 1 800 m3 used for transporting excavated bottom in the defined underwater disposal.

They are designed to carry out dredging operations on bottom of 1-5 categories according to Russia's classification of difficulty of excavation with a possibility to throwing soil at the waste disposal through bottom doors (batches) (the Kronshlot and Sommers dredgers, the FORR self-propelled scow) and refueling to the shallow underwater or coastal disposal by using the feeding system or the floating pipeline and the shore discharge pipe.
