North-Western Basin Branch Team Takes Part in Nautical Mile 2017 Competitions

The crew of the North-Western Basin Branch took part in the traditional competitions, Nautical Mile 2017, held in the seaport of Passenger Port Saint Petersburg on September 15, 2017. The seaport has become the central platform of the holiday.

The competitions organized by JSC Passenger Port Saint Petersburg involved almost eight hundred people, i.e. representatives of the sea terminal operator and the team of the North-Western Basin Branch, as well as young athletes of practically all educational educations located on Vasilyevsky Island and other educational institutions of Saint Petersburg.

During the holiday, the participants in the competitions contested in 99.8 meters dash (the length of the Krasin icebreaker), running at the distance equal to one nautical mile, in the relay at the distance of 2 171,05 meters (the length of berths of the seaport of Passenger Port Saint Petersburg) and at the distance of 666 meters (two lengths of the largest MSC Fantasia vessel, which called at the port during the 2017 navigation). In addition, the members of the teams took part in the competitions with dumbbells, arm wrestling and tugging war.
