Under the instruction of FSUE “Rosmorport” General Director Andrey Tarasenko, the deputy director of the North-Western Basin Branch, chief of the Kaliningrad Directorate, Andrey Moshkov took part in a session of the Board of Directors of the Association of Commercial Seaports that was held in the seaport of Kaliningrad on September 05, 2017.

The meeting focused on prospects for the development of OJSC “Kaliningrad Commercial Seaport”, the current activities of the Association of Commercial Seaports and its interaction with the federal authorities.

The participants in the meeting listened to the reports on the realization of ASOP initiatives in regulating merchant shipping, price control in rendering stevedoring services and leasing relationship in Russian seaports.

In the operative part of the meeting the participants supported a proposal to create a working committee on the environmental protection of the Association of Commercial Seaports due to form the ASOP position on environment protection and take part in developing regulatory legal enactments regulating environmental issues in the seaports.

In addition, the participants in the meeting entertained a provision on conducting a competition entitled “The Best Stevedoring Company of the Association of Commercial Seaports” that envisions a new set of criteria of the contest.
