On May 25, 2017 at the invitation of MOBY SPL ferry operator Economics and Finance Deputy Director of the North-Western Basin Branch Nadezhda Kalashnik took part in a press conference, “New Cruise Possibilities”, aboard the Princess Anastasia ferry in the seaport of Big Port Saint Petersburg.

The press conference involved Rostourism deputy head Sergei Korneyev, FSBI “Baltic Sea Ports Administration” chief Pyotr Parinov, Italian Consul-General in St Petersburg Leonardo Benccini, president of the major Italian ferry operator, Moby S.p.A. Alessandro Onorato, and MOBY SPL Director Sergei Kotenev.

Sergei Kotenev spoke about prospects for the development of ferry service between St Petersburg and the European capitals of the Baltic Sea.

In his speech he noted that effective cooperation between all participants of port activities played an important role in realizing ferry service. He thanked the port authorities, FSUE “Rosmorport” and the state supervisory agencies in the seaport of Big Port Saint Petersburg for support and the joint effective work.

This year the North-Western Basin Branch has begun rendering services for pilotage of a MOBY SPL passenger ship.

Following the results of two-month cooperation the captain of the Princess Anastasia, Mr. Fabio Folia, noted high quality of pilotage services provided by the pilots of the North-Western Basin Branch.
