Tariffs for the Use of Novorossiysk Icebreaker for Individual Icebreaker Support Services
North-Western Basin Branch informs about the establishment of the tariffs for the use of “Novorossiysk” icebreaker for individual icebreaker support.
To get more information about the size of the tariffs for the use of new “Novorossiysk” icebreaker as well as 16 icebreakers of the North-Western Basin Branch for performance of individual icebreaker support please refer to the section “Harbour Dues and Tariffs of the North-Western Basin Branch”.
After finishing the construction and conduction of all mooring and performance tests in December 2016 21900М project “Novorossiysk” icebreaker (LK-16) was passed to the FSUE “Rosmorport” customer by “Vyborgsky Sudostroitelny Zavod” PJSC in accordance with the Act of Acceptance of the Completed Construction Project signed on 26.12.2016.
According to FSUE “Rosmorport” Order dated 26.12.2016 No.646 the icebreaker is attached to the North-Western Basin Branch for its further operation to render icebreaker service in the waters of the Gulf of Finland, as well as to provide individual icebreaker support, vessel towing, to render assistance in ice conditions and open water, for cargo transportation, fire extinction on the floating objects and other facilities and to perform accident rescue operations.
At present “Novorossiysk” icebreaker is under operational control of the Murmansk Branch of FSUE “Rosmorport”. After being recharged with marine stores and fuel the icebreaker left Murmansk seaport for Anastasia Island of the Frantz Josef Land Archipelago on February 01, 2017. Passenger-cargo ship “Klavdia Elanskaya” and tanker “Varzuga” are under the icebreaker support of the vessel.

21900М project “Novorossiysk” icebreaker was built in 2016 on the “Vyborgsky Sudostroitelny Zavod” PJSC dockyard. The vessel received its name in honor of the hero-city Novorossiysk.

The icebreaker is equipped with a helicopter platform located on the bow of the vessel which can lift up to 22 people of personnel and up to 800 tons of cargo.
