North-Western Basin Branch Director Sergey Pylin took part in the 37^th Meeting of the Finnish-Russian Joint Commission on Marine Navigation that was held on January 25 in Helsinki (the Republic of Finland).

In the course of this event fee-based services contract on the provision of icebreaker support in the Baltic Sea and territorial waters of the Republic of Finland was signed between FSUE “Rosmorport” and Transport Agency of the Republic of Finland.

This contract is negotiated on the basis of interstate agreement on cooperation and interaction in rendering icebreaker support services in the Baltic Sea signed between the Republic of Finland and the Russian Federation on September 15, 2014 in Saint-Petersburg.

In accordance with the terms and conditions of the negotiated contract FSUE “Rosmorport” renders  episodic icebreaker support services to Transport Agency of the Republic of Finland for the ships going to Finnish ports through the Baltic Sea, the territorial sea and home waters of the Republic of Finland as provided for by interstate agreement. These services are rendered under the direct supervision of the Transport Agency of the Republic of Finland with the assistance of the agency's icebreakers according to approved check-list.
