Russian Minister of Transport Visits the International Sea Terminal Future Construction Site

On September 11, 2016 Russian Minister of Transport Maksim Sokolov, and accompanying him Deputy Minister of Transport - Head of the Federal Agency of Sea and River Transport Viktor Olersky and Head of the Kaliningrad region Evgeny Zinichev visited the seaport of Kaliningrad International Sea Terminal future construction Site in near the city of Pionersky.

Together with the officials, Director the North-Western Basin Branch Sergey Pylin and Deputy Director the North-Western Basin Branch - Kaliningrad Department Head Andrey Moshkov also inspected the site.

During the site inspection by the participants of the working visit, Andrey Moshkov acquainted them with basic details of the investment project and the suggested project organization arrangement of the sea terminal.

In August 2016, as was noted by Andrey Moshkov, the developed project documentation received positive conclusion of the state ecological expertise committee, approved by the Department of Rosprirodnadzor in the Kaliningrad region, and earlier - in May 2016, it was approved according to the results of public discussion of the project documentation materials, including the assessment of the impact of proposed economic and other activities on the environment.

During the exchange of opinions, the participants raised issues about the organization of the construction of access roads to the future sea passenger terminal.

Maksim Sokolov noted good cooperation of the authorities of the region with Rosmorrechflot and FSUE “Rosmorport” within the implementation of this federal investment project.
