Mir Sailing Ship Arrived In Saint Petersburg

On June 15 Mir sailing ship of the North-Western Basin Branch arrived in the seaport Big Port Saint Petersburg and moored at Lieutenant Shmidt Embarkment to accept new Cadets for practical training.

For two-month cruise, which started on April 16, cadets of the Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping passed practical training, having visited the seaports of Hamburg, Wilhelmshaven, Warnemunde (Germany) and Larvik (Norway). During the cruise, the crew team and cadets actively participated in all events that took place, in particular, in celebration of the Hamurg Port Anniversary and the Day of Constitution of the Kingdom of Norway.

Cruise participants brought a Mini-football Winners’ Cup and memories.

In accordance with navigation schedule, the ship departure for the seaport of Delfzijl (Netherlands) is scheduled for June 18 after accepting new Cadets and replenishment, and the ship will arrive in the seaport approximately on June 29.
