In accordance with authorization of Rosmorrechflot from  No. 47-RU47507308-BB-39/11-2016 dated April 14, 2016, the previously constructed container terminal water area of the 2nd  and 3nd stage (phase 2.1) in the seaport of Ust-Luga has been put into operation.

The construction of the operating water area for FSUE “Rosmorport” was carried out from October 2010 to November 2013 in the frame of “Sea Transport” subprogram  of the Federal Target Program “Russian Transport System Development (2010-2020)”  in order to ensure safe manoeuvring and approach of the design vessel with a capacity of 11 thousand tonnes and with the following dimensions: length of no more than 115 meters, beam of no more than 18.5 metres, loaded draft up to 6.8 meters, to berths No. 59, No. 60 of the liquefied petroleum gas transshipment complex
 in the seaport of Ust-Luga.

In the course of construction there was formed an operational water area with an area of 150.3 thousand m2, and bottom marks of -13.5 meters.

The total amount of the soil excavated during the dredging works amounted to about 2.9 million m3.

The cost of implementing this investment project amounted to 701 million rubles, of which 695.4 million rubles were the federal budget allocations to the enterprise and more than 5.5 million rubles — its own funds.

Further implementation of the project for construction the container terminal water area in the seaport of Ust-Luga within the frame of the 2nd stage of construction (phase 2.2.), associated with the creation of the container terminal  water area of 11.4 ha with bottom marks  of - 13.5 meters; the 3rd stage (phase 2.3.) – creation of part of the container terminal water area of 7.6 ha with bottom marks of -13.5 meters; and the 4th stage of the construction – creation of the container terminal water area of 88.2 ha with bottom marks of -16 metres, is suspended pending the private investor's decision on the development of second and third stage of the container terminal in seaport Ust-Luga, as well as the allocation of necessary budgetary investments.
