Mir Sailing Ship Arrives in the Port of Hamburg

On May 3 Mir sailing ship of the North-Western Basin Branch arrived in the port of Hamburg (Germany) to participate in the celebration of 827th anniversary of the founding of the port of Hamburg.

It is one of Europe's largest maritime festivals, which is held annually in May in Hamburg.

The festival program includes the opening ceremonial parade on May 5, which will be attended by the cadets and the crew of Mir sailing ship, as well as a variety of entertainment and excursion programs. The festival will conclude on Sunday with a festive procession.

In Hamburg Mir sailing ship will stay for seven days, and then it will go to the seaport of Larvik (Norway) to participate in the ceremonial events devoted to celebration of the Norwegian Constitution Day.
