On 27 March 2015 the first in this year on-site meeting of Social Council under Ministry of Internal Affairs Department for transport in North-Western Federal Region was held on the territory of the FSUE “Rosmorport” North-Western Basin Branch.

The meeting was attended by management of the Department with its Head Vadim Kashirin, representatives of the Social Council from scientists, cultural figures and priesthood, head of the biggest transport facilities of the North-Western Region, Director of the FSUE “Rosmorport” North-Western Basin Branch Sergey Pylin, representatives from mass-media and public representatives.

During the meeting the Social Council resumed its activities in 2014. Special attention was paid to activities that involved police officers and Social Council members and were timed to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

In the end of the meeting its members expressed confidence in further productive activities of the Social Council in 2015. In the future cooperation between police on transport and public representatives will contribute to improvement of police functioning, and building of productive relationships with public in a new format with mutual respect and trust as its main constituents.
