By Order of Mintrans of Russia No. 276 dated 30.09.2014 the compulsory regulations in Ust-Luga seaport established by Order of Mintrans of Russia No. 6 dated 15.01.2013 have been amended.

The amendments touch on obligatory towage assurance during mooring operations of vessels with length of 185 metres and less equipped with maneuvering device. Also information on channel frequency with VHF for vessels to communicate with Ust-Luga Seaport VTS was specified.

The North-Western Basin Branch provides navigation services applying VTCS of Ust-Luga seaport. The given VTC system is a part of the Regional VTC of the Gulf of Finland eastern part on the basis of information integration and coordinated activities.
The results of 10 months of 2014 show that almost 30.000 vessels were in the coverage of Ust-Luga seaport VTC.
