Representatives of North-Western Basin Branch Kaliningrad Department Visit Tallinn Seaport

A delegation of the North-Western Basin Branch Kaliningrad Department officers headed by Deputy Director of the North-Western Basin Branch – Head of Department Andrey Moshkov made a working visit to Tallinn Seaport.

In the framework of the visit the branch officers took part in the workshop on the issues of the development of port infrastructure for transshipment of liquefied natural gas in the ports of the Baltic Sea. Besides, they held several meetings with the representatives of the Tallinn Seaport administration and Port of Tallinn – operator of the largest port complex in Estonia.

Apart from the workshop the representatives of Kaliningrad Department studied the foreign experience in construction and operation of marine cruise and ferry terminals, and also viewed the Tallinn seaport infrastructure.

The North-Western Basin Branch Kaliningrad Department officers are going to use the information they gained in Tallinn for implementation of the federal investment project on construction of an international passenger terminal near the Pionersky town of Kaliningrad region. The agreement on intent to construct the terminal was signed on 19 September 2014 during the International Investment Forum in Sochi.
