The Marlin multi-purpose boat accepted for operation

The Marlin multi-purpose boat of project МРВ14 was accepted for operation by the FSUE “Rosmorport” Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch after completion of all necessary adjustment works related to transportation and setting afloat of the vessel in Tuapse seaport.

The vessel was delivered by autotransport to Tuapse seaport on September 22, 2012 from the Moscow Shipyard, where it had been built for FSUE “Rosmorport”.

The multi-purpose boat will be used by the Tuapse Department of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch for:
- delivery of crew members and state committees representatives to vessels laying off in Tuapse seaport;
- transportation of pilots to/from vessels, and also provision of pilotage assistance to vessels heading to Tuapse seaport;
- quick and efficient inspection of navigational ways at the approaches to Tuapse seaport;
- transportation of cargo weighing not more than 500 kilos,
and as a crew boat for other purposes.

The Marlin is an MPB14 multi-purpose boat named after the marlin fish belonging to the perch-like fishes. The marlin is one of the world’s fastest fish and are able to row at the pace of about 85 km/h (50 mi/h).
