New De-Kastri VTS Certificate of conformity obtained

Following the results of the survey conducted in accordance with the Regulations on the Approval of Equipment Types and the Survey of Facilities and Centers, approved by the Ministry of Transport of Russia order No. 32 of February 10, 2010, Rosmorrechflot issued the Certificate of conformity No. VTS-3/1-3276-2022 of November 10, 2022 to the FSUE “Rosmorport” Vanino Branch on De-Kastri VTS compliance with the requirements for vessel traffic control systems, submitted to the second category of VTS, approved by the order of the Ministry of Transport Of Russia No. 226 dated July 23, 2015.

Earlier, in 2018, the De-Kastri VTS also successfully passed a survey of shore-based facility conformity with the requirements for VTS equipment.

De-Kastri VTS was built in 2014. It currently includes the VTS Center, located in the seaport of De-Kastri, and the radar post “mys Davydova”, located at the north-eastern tip of Chikhacheva Bay in the area of Davydova Cape at an altitude of 208 m above sea level.

With the use of De-Kastri VTS, vessels located in its area of operation are provided with comprehensive navigation services, and the following activities are carried out:

- vessels detection on approaches to the area of operation of the De-Kastri VTS, establishing communication with them, obtaining data about the vessel;

- transmission of navigation, hydrometeorological, operational and other information to vessels at the initiative of the operators of the De-Kastri VTS or at the request of the vessel;

- assistance in navigation;

- organization of vessel traffic, including the planning and establishment of vessel traffic modes in the De-Kastri VTS area of operation;

- vessel traffic control.

Every year, more than 3,500 vessels are under control in the De-Kastri VTS area of operation, about 300 of which in average call at the seaport of De-Kastri.
