Pilots of the FSUE "Rosmorport" Vanino Branch performed pilotage of the new ferry for Vanino-Kholmsk line

Pilots of the FSUE "Rosmorport" Vanino Branch performed pilotage of Aleksandr Deyev new lead cargo-and-passenger road-rail ferry that is being under construction.

Pilotage of the vessel, which is being built by Amur Shipbuilding Plant (Komsomolsk-on-Amur), was carried out from the roadstead of Nikolayevsk-on-Amur seaport by the fairways of the Amurskiy estuary to buoy No. 1 of the seaport.

The ferry under construction will be towed from Nikolayevsk-on-Amur seaport to the Vladivostok seaport to the delivery base of Amur shipbuilding plant, where its final completion will take place.

According to the information of the shipbuilding plant, now the ferry is 64% ready, the main mechanisms are installed and about a hundred kilometers of main conducting wire is laid. The vessel is equipped with cargo elevator, side ramp, stern ramp, accommodation ladders. Most of the devices have already been installed, tested and accepted by the customer and the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. At the acceptance stage, work will be performed on the formation of premises inside the order, testing and painting of ballast tanks, installation of stern devices and sides, freight and passenger elevators. This will be followed by the preparation and execution of mooring tests.

The ferry is towed by Irbis sea tugboat and the accompanying towing caravan Vostok sea tugboat.

The Aleksandr Deyev cargo-and-passenger road-rail ferry of the CNF11CPD 00300 project is the lead ship of a series of two vessels that are currently under construction at the Amur Shipbuilding Plant.

The Aleksandr Deyev ferry is an Arc5 class vessel of reinforced ice class capable of breaking ice up to 1.5 meters thick and operating at temperature up to -40 degrees Celsius.

The ferry is 131 meters long, 22 meters wide, and has deadweight of more than 4 thousand tons.

The ferry will be used on the Vanino seaport – Kholmsk seaport ferry line.
