Information on the Seaport of Vanino in the Register of Seaports of the Russian Federation Amended

By order No. YK-226-r of Rosmorrechflot dated June 29, 2015 the information on the seaport of Vanino in the Register of Seaports of the Russian Federation has been amended.

Amendments are related to the revision of the main technical characteristics of the seaport of Vanino, in particular, throughput of freight terminals and area of open and covered warehouses. The increase in throughput is connected with implementation by the sea terminals operators of productive capacity modernization programs by replacing of the obsolete loading equipment with more modern and productive one.

In addition, the data on the maximum vessel size, allowed to call at the seaport of Vanino has been clarified.

According to the changes, now only vessels with draught up to 18,5 meters, length up to 292 meters and width up to 45 meters can call at the seaport of Vanino.

Also, changes in the Register of Seaports of the Russian Federation have been made to the name of the Vanino Seaport Administration, functions of which are now performed by the FSBI “Administration the seaports of Okhotsk and the Tatar Strait”.

According to the results for 6 months of 2015 in the seaport of Vanino over 13.2 million tonnes of cargo were handled, which is 3,3% more than in the same period in the previous year.

On 19 berths of Vanino Branch in the seaport of Vanino, 15 of which have been leased to the sea terminals operators under the established procedure, for the same period over 3,2 million tonnes were handled, which is 24% of the total volume of cargo handling in the seaport of Vanino.
