Astrakhan Branch jointly with the Head Department of EMERCOM of Russia for the Astrakhan Region took part in the planned complex fire and tactical exercises held on September 12, 2013 at the operational quay of the Seaport of Astrakhan.

During the exercises the skills of the fire departments personnel to organize fire fighting on the vessel were trained including the procedure for interaction with the Astrakhan Branch services and port authorities.

On the part of the Astrakhan Branch 17 employees from its various departments were involved and the Kapitan Bukaev icebreaker was granted for the practical training of fire fighting tactics on the vessel and crew members fire rescue.

At the end of the exercises all the stated objectives were successfully achieved and measures for the further improvement of the fire protection plans for port facilities, enhancement of the interaction coherence between participants in the organization of fire fighting on the vessels were mapped out.
