Astrakhan Branch participated "Caspiy-2012" manoeuvres

On July, 11 2012 International Complex Manoeuvres "Caspiy-2012" on coordinated movement of forces and technical means, aimed at searching and rescuing people in distress, eliminating of the consequences of marine accidents and oil spills of regional importance, took place in the Northern part of the Caspian Sea. Manoeuvres were organized by the Rosmorrechflot.

FSU "Gosmorspassluzhby", FSU "Caspian Basin Sea Ports Administration", FSU "Baltiyskoye BASU", FSUE "Rosmorport" Astrakhan Branch, Defence Ministry of Russia NAVY Caspian Fleet, Federal Security Service Kalmykia Republic and Astrakhan Region Borderline Department, Rosaeronavigatsiya Southern Department, RSRB FSU "Southern Search and Rescue Aviation Centre" Astrakhan Branch and representatives of other agencies and companies (including representatives of Republics of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan) took part in Manoeuvres preparations and holding.

The Astrakhan Branch was represented by the crew of the "Captain Bukaev" icebreaker, which, according to the Manoeuvres plan, was used as a command-and-control ship.

The Astrakhan Branch fully fulfilled its task, successfully completed all the goals. Results of the Manoeuvres were highly appreciated by observers from all the Caspian littoral States.
