Water Bodies and Land Plots

     In order to place its real assets and conduct the activities stipulated in the Statute on the FSUE "Rosmorport" North-Western Basin Branch, the branch uses land plots and water bodies located on the territory and in the water areas of the seaports of Greater Port of Saint-Petersbirg, Vyborg, Vysotsk, Kaliningrad, Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg and Ust-Luga.  

     Land use
     As of 01.10.2023 the North-Western Basin Branch uses 290 plots of land with the total space of 626.7 ha. Out of that number, 251 plots of land with the total space of 594.1 ha are used on a leasehold and easement basis. At present, title establishing documents are filed by the branch on 39 actually used plots of land with the total space of 32.6 ha.


     The total number of land plots, which are used by the North-Western Basin Branch and are located within seaports' territories, includes:
  • in Big Port of Saint-Petersburg – 88 land plots with the overall area size of 33.5 hectares making 4.5 % of the total seaport area size; 
  • in Vyborg seaport – 1 land plot with the overall area size of 5.2 hectares making 31.2 % of the total seaport area size;  
  • in Vysotsk seaport – 6 land plots with the overall area size of 3.5 hectares making 2.4 % of the total seaport area size; 
  • in Kaliningrad seaport – 72 land plots with the overall area size of 415.8 hectares. Due to inaccuracies in determining the total area of the seaport of Kaliningrad, the percentage of the seaport area used by the North-Western Basin Branch is not provided; 
  • in Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg – 1 land plot with the overall area size of 0.03 hectares making 0.09 % of the total seaport area size; 
  • in Primorsk seaport – 4 land plots with the overall area size of 10.9 hectares making 4,4 % of the total seaport area size; 
  • in Ust-Luga seaport – 29 land plots with the overall area size of 72.3 hectares making 6.1 % of the total seaport area size. 
     The land plots used by the North-West Basin Branch are related to several types of lands, including:
  • water lands;
  • forest lands;
  • urban lands;
  • industrial, energy, transport, communications, radio, television, information technologies lands, lands for support of the space activities, defense and security lands, and lands of other special purposes. 

     Water use 
     As of 01.10.2023 the North-Western Basin Branch uses 11 water facilities based on a water use treaty and 10 decisions on providing water facilities for use. 

     The water bodies used by the North-West Basin Branch are located in the water areas of the Gulf of Finland and Gulf of Kaliningrad of the Baltic Sea.
     The overall size of the surface of the water bodies used by the branch is more than 13.6 sq. km of which:
  • more than 0.047 sq. km are used in the Big Port of Saint-Petersburg making more than 0.0076 % of the total seaport water area size; 
  • 0.13 sq. km are used in the Ust-Luga seaport making almost 0.19 % of the total water area of the seaport.
