In the Kaliningrad Directorate of the North-West Basin Branch, technical upgrade of the Kaliningrad coastal station of the sea area А1 GDMSS has been completed.

The Kaliningrad coastal station of the sea area А1 GDMSS , which is part of the Control Center in the Bolshoye Isakovo village of Guryevsky District in the Kaliningrad Region, and part of the Sinyavino Base Station in the Sinyavino village in the Kaliningrad Region, was built in March 2006 and required the upgrade of technical means.

During the technical upgrade, all equipment of the coastal station was replaced, namely: VHF stations, controllers, antenna feeder devices, automated workstations of GDMSS operators, computer and network equipment, specialized software. New equipment was installed in order to ensure the functioning and life support of the GMSSB facilities: a container with two emergency diesel power stations, a hardware container, power supply subsystems with uninterruptible power sources, ventilation and air conditioning subsystems, fire alarm and gas fire extinguishing systems.

The station range, which is 28.6 nautical miles, is provided by new technical means in accordance with the certificate of compliance of the coastal facility.

The Kaliningrad coastal station of the sea area А1 GDMSS carries out continuous radio watch and radio communication at the GDMSS frequencies in the VHF band, current communication between ships and the marine rescue and coordination center in the Kaliningrad seaport for organizing the rescue operations, performs automatic procedures for handling the disaster call, urgency and safety.

At the same time, the Kaliningrad Directorate completed work on the development of working documentation for the technical upgrade of the Kaliningrad coastal station of the sea area А2 GDMSS .

The existing Kaliningrad coastal station of the sea area А2 GDMSS was commissioned in 2000. The station facilities were transferred under the operational control of the enterprise in December 2017. The coastal station equipment is obsolete and worn-out after 20 years of use and needs to be updated.

Shortly the Kaliningrad Administration will initiate a competitive procedure for selecting a contracting organization for the conclusion of agreement for the supply of equipment and the installation and commissioning works aimed at the technical upgrade of the Kaliningrad coastal station of the sea area А2 GDMSS .
