Boundaries of the Big Port Saint Petersburg seaport changed

By order of the Government of Russia dated February 12, 2020 No. 266-r the boundaries of the Big Port Saint Petersburg seaport were changed.

In particular, the adjustments are related to the clarification of the boundaries of land plot No. 16 in the area of the location of the multifunctional sea transshipment complex "Bronka". An artificial land plot which was created during the construction of port infrastructure facilities for this cargo area in the period from 2011 to 2016 was included to its borders.

The FSUE "Rosmorport" North-Western Basin Branch, within the framework of the project to create the infrastructure of this transshipment complex, built an approach channel and water area of the MSTC "Bronka". In the course of the dredging works, which were carried out in two stages in the period from 2013 to 2017, the following was formed: an approach channel to the MSTC "Bronka" with a length of more than 6.4 km, a width of 185 meters and a bottom mark of 14.4 meters; the water area of MSTC "Bronka" with a width of 380 meters and bottom marks of -14.4 meters, as well as front and rear direction signs of two linear navigation gates "Bronka 2" and "Bronka 3". The implementation of this project made it possible to ensure the safe movement of design vessels up to 210 meters in length, up to 32.2 meters in width and a loaded draft of up to 11.5 meters from the approach channel to the ship passage facility S-1 (a new section of the Kronstadt fairway) along the created approach channel to berths of MSTC "Bronka", as well as to ensure safe maneuvering of vessels directly in the water area of the transshipment complex.

In connection with the completion of the construction of the Western High-Speed Diameter and the MSTC "Bronka", by the order of the Government of Russia, the boundaries of the water area of the Big Port Saint Petersburg seaport, which currently consists of 23 water sections, were also clarified.

According to the changes parts of the water area of the Malaya Neva and Malaya Nevka from the western border of the WHSD bridge were excluded from the boundaries of the Big Port Saint Petersburg seaport, the boundaries of the Kanonerskaya harbor, the water area of the Petersburg oil terminal and the water area of the forts at Kotlin island were changed.
