A rowing team of the North-Western Basin Branch Kaliningrad Directorate took part in a traditional rowing regatta Milya Vityazya as part of Water Assembly festival on the Pregolya River in Kaliningrad on September 15, 2019.

The regatta is devoted to the 80^th anniversary of putting afloat the Vityaz research vessel, which is currently the main exhibit of the World Ocean Museum in Kaliningrad.

The guest rowing regatta involved nine teams consisting of workers of enterprises and institutions of Kaliningrad, including a team of the Government Staff of the Kaliningrad region, the Mayor’s Office of Kaliningrad and the Sberbank branch in Kaliningrad. Junior races with the participation of cadets of maritime schools and cadet corps of the Kaliningrad region were also held.

The race was conducted on the YAL-6 ship boats at the distance of 750 meters. A team of each boat included six racing crewmembers and one pilot.

Based on the results of three rounds the team of the North-Western Basin Branch Kaliningrad Directorate came third.
