At the initiative of the North-Western Basin Branch Kaliningrad Department a meeting, chaired by Deputy Director of the North-Western Basin Branch - Head of the Kaliningrad Department Andrey Moshkov, with the president and members of the Kaliningrad Association of Agent and Forwarding Companies, the president of the Association of the Seaport of Kaliningrad Stevedoring Companies, chairman of the Transport and Customs Policy Committee of the Kaliningrad Chamber of Commerce, and employees of regional offices of the Maersk, MSC and CMA CGM companies was held in the Department office on April 22.

Andrey Moshkov presented to the participants of the meeting the main results of the seaport of Kaliningrad operation in the first quarter of the current year and the results of implementation of the repair dredging works program in the seaport, carried out by the Kaliningrad Department of the North-Western Basin Branch.

The participants of the meeting discussed a wide range of issues concerning ecological and towing services for vessels in the seaport, made suggestions for their improvement and also exchanged opinions regarding prediction estimates of operation and development of the seaport of Kaliningrad in the period up to 2018.

At the meeting the participants separately discussed development prospects of the seaport Kaliningrad ferry service, including construction of the international sea terminal for cruise, cargo and passenger vessels in the area of Pionerskiy, Kaliningrad region.
