Information on the Seaport Big Port Saint Petersburg in the Register of Seaports of the Russian Federation Amended

By order No. YK-28-r of Rosmorrechflot dated March 02, 2016 the information on the seaport Big Port Saint Petersburg in the Register of seaports of the Russian Federation has been amended.

Adjustments are related to inclusion in the list of sea terminals in the seaport Big Port Saint Petersburg of the “Bronka” multi-functional transhipment complex (MMTC) facilities and corresponding specification of the main technical characteristics of the seaport. In particular, there were specified the area of territory and water area of the seaport, number of berths, quay front length, throughput capacity of cargo terminals, area of open and covered warehouses.

Earlier, the land plot where the “Bronka” multi-functional transhipment complex is located was included in the borders of the seaport Big Port Saint Petersburg under decree of the Russian Government No. 2742-r dated December 29, 2015.

The investment project of construction of the “Bronka” multi-functional transhipment complex is being implemented jointly by “Feniks” LLC and FSUE “Rosmorport” in accordance with the concluded agreements on cooperation. As a part of the FSUE “Rosmorport” obligations under the investment project, the following federal property facilities are currently under construction: the approach channel and the operational water area of “Bronka” MMTC.

In December 2015 the enterprise successfully completed the first phase of the project: the access channel and the operational water area of “Bronka” MMTC were constructed. Within the second stage of the construction, the depths of the approach channel and operational water area are supposed to be brought to -14,4 meters according to the Baltic Evaluation System, and the width of the approach channel is planned to be increased to 185 meters. The completion of the second phase of works is planned for 2017.

In the seaport Big Port Saint Petersburg the North-Western Basin Branch disposes of 95 land plots with the total area of 45 hectares, which is 6,81% of the total area of Big Port Saint Petersburg.
The total area of surface water bodies used by the North-Western Basin Branch is 17,7 sq.m., which is 2.8% of the total seaport water area.

In addition, in the seaport Big Port Saint Petersburg the branch disposes of 74 berths with the total quay wall length exceeding 13,1 km. The proportion of the branch berths in the total number of berths in the seaport is 50,7% and the proportion of the total quay wall length of all branch berths in the seaport is 57,3% of the total quay wall length of all berths in the seaport.

Most of the berths of the North-Western Basin Branch in the seaport Big Port Saint Petersburg have been leased to the operators of sea terminals to be used for their intended purpose.
