n accordance with authorization No. RU39312000-SG-39/53-2015 of Rosmorrechflot dated 16.10.2015 section No. 5 of Bank protection dike at PK 195-197 in the seaport of Kaliningrad was put into operation.

The reconstruction of the facility was carried out by FSUE “Rosmorport” from April 2014 to October 2015 in order to prevent further destruction of the dike body, Kaliningrad Sea Canal fairway drift, and to ensure safety of navigation in the  Kaliningrad Sea Canal.

As a part of the reconstruction the following operations were carried out:
a) from the side of the Kaliningrad Sea Canal – installation of constructions of sheet pile wall with reinforced concrete head part, with slope fastening, adjacent to the end walls, reinforced concrete slabs at the reconstructed section of bank protection;
b) from the side of the Kaliningrad Bay – installation of concrete array constructions with crushed stone at the base, block-rap from the bay side at the reconstructed sections of the existing bank protection and laying of road slabs along the whole reconstructed section of bank protection;
c) restoration of the dam body by filling it with sandy soil.

The capital investments of the enterprise for reconstruction of the corresponding fort facility amounted to over 68,1 mln rubles.
