Boundaries of the Seaport of Ust-Luga Amended

By order No. 2618-r of the Russian Government dated 19.12.2015 changes were made to the seaport of Ust-Luga boundaries.

Adjustment of boundaries is related to inclusion in the seaport territory boundaries a land plot with the area of 5.36 hectares (site No. 2), where facilities of the providing fleet base under construction are situated.

The providing fleet base project, contractor of which is FSUE “Rosmorport”, involves construction of port infrastructure for mooring and servicing of vessels of the port fleet (oil garbage collectors, boom pitter vessels, tug boats, work boats and other vessels), collection, transportation and neutralization of waste from ships, calling at the seaport of Ust-Luga. In particular, the project involves creation of a complex for thermal disposal (neutralization) of waste in order to enhance the level of environmental safety of the seaport and ensuring the protection of natural environment of the Luga Bay and adjacent areas of the Leningrad region in the operation of the seaport of Ust-Luga at the site No.2 of the providing fleet base involves.

Since March, 2013 at the site No.2 the following preparation works: soil excavation, peat elimination as well as concrete works  (casting of concrete slab) have been completed. The equipment complex for placing an incinerator has also been delivered.
