Deputy Director – Head of the Kaliningrad Department Participates in Working Trip of Minister of Transport of Russia to the Kaliningrad Region

Deputy Director – Head of the Kaliningrad Department of the North-Western Basin Branch of FSUE "Rosmorport" Andrey Moshkov on August 22 participated in the working trip of the Minister of Transport of Russia Maxim Sokolov to the Kaliningrad region.

During his visit to the region, the Minister of Transport of Russia visited the Pionersky town and inspected the existing coastal infrastructure, where the construction of a new marine passenger terminal of the seaport Kaliningrad is scheduled to begin.

In the context of inspection of the planned marine terminal construction site, Andrey Moshkov reported to the Minister of Transport of Russia on progress in the development of possible terminal layout options and its basic technical characteristics.

According to the results of the discussion, the participants supported the proposal that the final meeting should be held under the chairmanship of the Minister of Transport of Russia in order to define all the key parameters associated with the implementation of this investment project.

The project of the marine passenger terminal construction is the first phase of the federal investment project on construction of port infrastructure in the seaport of Kaliningrad. In December 2014 FSUE “Rosmorport” and the Kaliningrad regional Government, as part of the business program of the forum “Transport week – 2014”, signed an agreement on cooperation in the design of facilities required by the project of construction of an international marine terminal for cruise and cargo ships in the Pionersky town in the Kaliningrad region. The Agreement provides for the development and harmonization of project documentation and obtaining state expert reviews of project documentation by each of the parties for its facilities. The Agreement also provides for harmonization of the developed project documentation to achieve technical integration of project solutions.
