In the period of July 6 to July 8, 2015, representatives of the seaport of Hamburg paid a working visit to the FSUE “Rosmorport” North-West Basin Branch.

Within the planned program of the visit, on July 6, the foreign guests arrived in Kaliningrad where there was held an official meeting with Kaliningrad Department management. After that an excursion to the seaport of Kaliningrad water area was organized for the guests, so they would get acquainted with infrastructure facilities of the seaport and operating port terminals. The German delegation also visited the VTS center in the city of Baltiysk.

On the seventh of June, the delegation, accompanied by the Head of Kaliningrad Department of the North-Western Basin Branch Andrey Moshkov, arrived in Saint Petersburg to conduct the main negotiations with the Branch Director Sergey Pylin. During the official meeting, held in the main building of the branch, there was discussed the collaboration of the seaports in new international projects, possibilities of holding joint conferences and seminars in order to exchange experience and join forces to work on the development of seaports of the Baltic region.

On June 7 the delegation of the seaport of Hamburg visited the seaport of Ust-Luga, where was they were shown the port territory from the water area. Head of the Ust-Luga Department Oleg Efimov told about the rapid development of the seaport and the successful implementation of the current projects in the construction of terminals, ensuring environmental safety and safety of navigation in general. In addition, the participants visited the road-railway ferry complex, where they could personally be present during the loading of a ferry with a train.

The program of the visit also included a visit to the Regional Center of Vessel Traffic Control, where the head of the service Vladimir Gromov and Deputy Head of coastal and port VTS of Saint Petersburg Valery Semenov told them about the work of the service and particulars of ensuring th safety of navigation in the Eastern part of the Gulf of Finland.
