A formal graduation ceremony for cadets of the “Maritime Academy” Institute took place on February 27, 2016 at the State University of Sea and River Fleet n.a. admiral S.O. Makarov.

More than 350 cadets of this higher education institution, which was established in 2013 as part of the state university, on that day received diplomas of graduation and were awarded the degree of qualified shipboard personnel for sea and river transport for the development and effective use of water space and resources of the World ocean.

Deputy Director for Personnel and Administrative Issues of the North-Western Basin Branch Alexander Strelnikov, who attended the ceremony, congratulated the graduates on completion of their degrees and wished them further success in their professional career.

Alexander Strelnikov noted that students had acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills, including through their shipboard training on the Mir training sailing ship of the North-Western Basin Branch and will make a significant contribution to the development of maritime transport of Russia.
