On 25 April 2015 which is the day of 70^th anniversary of the capture of the town of Pillau (named Baltiysk from 27 November 1946) officers of the Kaliningrad Department of the North-Western Basin Branch took part in the festive march, rally and laying of the flowers to the memorial To Soldiers Fallen in Assault of Pillau.

More than 500 soldiers and officers of the Red Army and Fleet who died in the assault of the town are buried at the memorial.

The participants of the festive events have paid their tributes to the dead and honored those who have survived.
