Petersburg Ferry Returns to the Baltic Sea

On 16 March 2014 the Petersburg marine automobile-railway passenger ferry set out on its first voyage in the current year on the ferry line Ust-Luga-Baltiysk-Sassnitz in the direction of Ust-Luga Seaport. Before that the ferry had performed transportation of automobiles in the Black Sea for 5 months.

At the railway ferry complex in Kaliningrad Seaport operated by the Kaliningrad Department of the North-Western Basin Branch more than 3.8 tons of cargoes, including 41 railway wagons, 11 supply truck trains and trailers, and 6 passengers, were loaded on board of the ferry.

In 2014 the FSUERosmorportNorth-Western Basin Branch transshipped more than 1.5 mln tons of cargoes at the railway ferry complex in Kaliningrad Seaport, which makes 11.2 % of the total transshipment volume in Kaliningrad Seaport.
