By order No. AD-78-R dated 17.03.2015 of Rosmorrechflot the information about the Kaliningrad seaport in the Register of Seaports of the Russian Federation has been amended.

The main technical characteristics of Kaliningrad Seaport have been amended because of the change in number of the berths and quay wall length of single berths in the seaport, as well as the change of throughput of freight terminals, increase in the area of open and covered warehouses, andchange in volume of oil storage tanks.

In particular, information on the cement unloading terminal with a process pipeline in the Kaliningrad seaport was included in the Register. The Register has also been supplemented with information on the universal seaport terminal consisting of 5 berths with the berth space of nearly 1.2 km, intended for transshipment and storage of grain cargoes, protein and vitamin production, transshipment and storage of vegetable oils, transport processing of cargoes.

To ensure access of design vessels to the abovementioned sea terminal, in the period of September 2012 to October 2013 FSUE “Rosmorport” reconstructed marine navigation channel section from picket 209 to picket 222 in order to increase its width to 80 meters and depth to 10.5 meters, and built an operating water area at berths No. 6–9, with the total area of 264 thousand m2 and bottom marks of -10.5 meters. The total volume of soil removed due to dredging works amounted to almost 0.9 million m3. In addition, to ensure safe navigation of vessels to the berths of the constructed sea terminal, the enterprise has built the Skals laser blind-type beacon, performed the reconstruction of automatic radio-technical post No.2, installed 5 floating warning signs and 4 navigation lights.

Besides, information in the Register was precised concerning the cargo-passenger automobile ferry terminal (Berth No. 1 with frontal and matched sections), intended for receiving and processing of ferries, which is assigned to FSUE “Rosmorport” under the right of operational management and leased to the sea terminal operator in accordance with established procedure.

Names and addresses of seaport operators, operating in Kaliningrad Seaport, as well as the name of the Kaliningrad Seaport Administration, functions of which are now performed by the Kaliningrad Seaport branch of FSBI “The Administration of the Baltic Seaports” have also been updated in the Register.
