On the fifth day of “Transport Week – 2014”, 5 December 2014, a teleconference with the Ermak icebreaker of the North-Western Basin Branch, providing practical training for the students of the Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping, was held within the «Science, Education, Business waters of Cooperation and Development» conference.

The event was focused on discussion of peculiarities of navigational training organization in order to prepare fleet personnel.

During the teleconference the students shared their experience in practical training, as well as ideas of its further development.

The participants of the event also said that it was necessary to open additional courses and new specialties in the University, because of the raising demand on personnel with narrow specialties.
