Students Make Visit to Big Port of St. Petersburg Seaport

On the territory of Big Port of St. Petersburg Seaport on November 28, 2013 there was an excursion to the 3rd year students of the Faculty of Public and Municipal Administration of the State University of Sea and River Fleet named after Admiral S.O. Makarov. The event was organized and hosted by Alexander Strelnikov, Deputy Director for Personnel and Administrative issues of the North-West Basin Branch, and Alexander Kuznetsov, Deputy Director for Capital Construction and Operation of the branch.  

During the meeting, the young people heard about the activities of the North-West Basin Branch and its departments, enterprise structure and its prospects. Further, students looked over the service auxiliary and icebreaking fleet of the branch, became familiar with the specifications and objectives of the vessels of different assignment, as well as with the objects of the regional traffic management service.

On the example of the FSUE "Rosmorport" berths the future professionals of the marine sector were able to clearly see the production process in the seaport. Alexander Kuznetsov spoke about the interaction of state bodies and organizations with business representatives in the seaport, the enterprise goals to ensure the safety of navigation, and then he answered numerous questions from interested listeners. In his turn, Alexander Strelnikov offered the students of the FSUE "Rosmorport" specialized university to address the issues of employment.

At the end of the meeting, participants discussed the issues of internship at the branch in summer 2014.
