Information on Ust-Luga Seaport in the Register of Seaports of the Russian Federation Amended

By Rosmorrechflot regulation dated 30.08.2013 No. AD-255-r information on Ust-Luga Seaport in the Register of Seaports of the Russian Federation was amended.

The amendments specify the general characteristics of Ust-Luga Seaport, as a new operator started to work at the newly constructed sea terminal of LLC “Novaya Gavan Terminal” comprising 1 berth with the estimated capacity of 245 thous. tons per year, which was designed for transshipment of rolling cargo.

Earlier by Government of Russia regulation dated 25.04.2013 No. 687-r the teritory and the water area of the new terminal had been included into the boundaries of Ust-Luga Seaport.

The North-West Basin Branch had contributed to the successful operation of the new terminal in the framework of a corresponding investment project. During preparation for the commissioning of the terminal in 2011-2012 the branch provided execution of dredging works in the Ust-Luga Seaport operational basin. More than 718 thous. cubic meters of soil was extracted and the bottom level reached -9.4 meters. These depths allow to receive vessels with deadweight of more than 7 thous. Tons and draught in cargo of no more than -7.35 meters at the new terminal of LLC “Novaya Gavan Terminal”.
