On August 16, 2013 Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Maksim Sokolov made a visit to the passenger terminal at the English Quay to inspect preparation of the transport infrastructure for the G20 Leader’s Summit 2013, which will be held in Saint-Petersburg from 03 till 07 September 2013.

Director of the North-West Basin Branch Sergey Pylin reported to the Minister about the preparatory works at the branch’s facilities and arrangement of the passenger terminal at the English Quay in accordance with the G20 unified style concept. During the meeting Sergey Pylin confirmed that the pilot service of the branch is ready to provide pilotage of vessels carrying the participants of the summit in the water areas of the Big Port of Saint-Petersburg and Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg.

Governor of Saint-Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko also checked the readiness of the seaport infrastructure facilities for the summit. On August 21, 2013 he also visited the passenger terminal at the English Quay, and some other facilities of the Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg.
