State Border Сheckpoint of the Russian Federation in Ust-Luga Seaport Opened

In connection with the completion of construction and commissioning of the berth No. 6(1) intended for the shipment of oil products of the first stage of the LLC "Novatek-Ust-Luga" liquid cargo marine terminal in Ust-Luga seaport, by Rosgranitsa order dated 10.06.2013 No. 137-OD within the reconstructed sea cargo-passenger constant multiway state border checkpoint of the Russian Federation in Ust-Luga seaport the territory of the first stage of this marine terminal was included.

North-West Basin Branch in preparation for the commissioning of the mentioned berth in the period from 2004 to 2008, using public investment, provided the completion of dredging in the North-1 operating area of Ust-Luga seaport, including directly at the cordon of the berth No. 6(1), the total volume of more than 13.6 million m3 of soil seized, bringing the level of the bottom of the operating area and along the berth to -16 m.

These measures allowed entries to a new built berth of the marine terminal by vessels with a deadweight of 70,000 tons, a length of 236 m, a width of 32.2 m and a draft of a load of up to 13.5 m.

This year, the North-West Basin Branch plans to complete the construction of the North Access Channel in Ust-Luga seaport with bringing the bottom up to the level of marks: 17.5 m, which will ensure the safe passage of large tankers with a draft of a load of up to 15 m in Ust-Luga seaport to all berths of the liquid cargo complex.
