On 21 May 2013 a delegation of 15 leading companies of Finland together with Ambassador of Finland to the Russian Federation Mr. Hannu Himanen made a visit to the Kaliningrad Department of the North-West Basin Branch.

The main purpose of the visit was presentation of the foreign companies’ potential, establishment of business connections, evaluation of the prospective areas of possible cooperation, in particular:
- engineering and construction of port infrastructure facilities;
- provision of logistics services and supplies of industrial machinery.

During the meeting, which was held in a friendly atmosphere, the experts of the Kaliningrad Department and Deputy Director of the North-West Basin Branch – Head of the Kaliningrad Department Andrey Moshkov answered the questions of the guests on the main activities of the department, and also performed a presentation of the North-West Basin Branch and Kaliningrad Seaport.

The participants of the meeting were satisfied by its results and the exchange of opinions on a wide range of issues.
