The order of the Rosprirodnadzor Department for the North-West Federal Distric dated 26.04.2013 № 88 approves the positive conclusion of expert committee of state ecological expertise with regard to the project documentation on ecological grounds of economic activities connected to collection, usage, treatment and disposal of wastes of I-IV classes of hazards in Ust-Luga Seaport.

The expert committee confirmed, that all documents comply to the environmental requirements of the Russian Federation, which prove the possibility of conducting environmental activities, which the North-West Basin Branch is going to perform in Ust-Luga Seaport.

Earlier the enterprise received a sanitary and epidemiological conclusion dated 15.02.2013 № 78.22.58.000.М.000006.02.13, which also certified the compliance of buildings, constructions, premises, equipment, and other property of the North-West Basin Branch designed for provision of treatment of wastes of III-IV classes of hazard in Ust-Luga Seaport to the state sanitary and epidemiological rules and norms.

Thus after reissuance of the Licence for Treatment and Disposal of Wastes of I-V classes of hazard the North-West Basin Branch will be ablle to perform on its own (without attracition of specialized organizations), with the use of its integrated waste treatment station and insinerator IN-50.02KM, the following activities in Ust-Luga Seaport:
- recycling of oily waters (bilge waters);
- treatment of household wastes. 

At present the North-West Basin Branch renders services on collection of sewage and oily waters, and also household shipboard wastes and their transportation to the places of reception for recycling by special licensed organizations, with the use of its special vessels and motor vehicles in Ust-Luga Seaport.
