On May, 17 2012 meeting of the Marine Council under St. Petersburg Government took place. FSUE "Rosmorport" North-West basin branch director S.Pylin participated the meeting and presented a report on Saint Petersburgh seaport prospects.

Pylin noticed that the construction of the berth complex for ice-breaker fleet settling is one the seaport development projects. It provides the construction of two berths in the eastern part of Ugolnaya harbour: berth №89 (546*25*10,3m) and berth №90 (243*25*6m).

During the period of staying following service provided on the docking complex:
• icebreakers electricity supply with shore power facilities;
• bunkering of vessels with water and fuel;
• bilge water and garbage taking;
• supply of ships with material and technical equipment and food;
• maintenance of icebreakers systems and mechanisms.

The estimated cost of the berth complex construction is 1,5 billion roubles. 93% of the cost - the Federal budget investments. Construction of the berth complex is expected to be completed in 2014.
