During the period from April,2 till April,4 2012 the USA CG delegation paid an official visit to Saint Petersburg. In the course of the familiarization tour the delegation visited a whole number of FSUE "Rosmorport" objects in the Great Seaport of Saint Petersburg.

Particularly, FSUE "Rosmorport" North-West basin branch initiated a visit to the "Moscow" line icebreaker. On board the commander Youriy Akhromkin acquainted american guests with technical characteristics and functional capabilities of the vessel and also presented it's roadormance trial results.

North-West basin branch also provided for members of the delegation an opportunity to visit Raskat Regional VTS Centre, located in Petrodvorets. The head of the Centre Ivan Gotovchits made a presentation of VTS functioning and safety providing principles. He also told about the role and the place of Regional VTS in complex system of vessels safety providing in Russian Federation zone of responsibility in Gulf of Finland eastern area.

During the visit held in a friendly atmosphere representatives of the FSUE "Rosmorport" and the USA CG exchanged opinions on practical experience of navigation safety providing and icebreaking operations in the USA and Russia.
