The Murmansk Branch Took Part in the V Murmansk International Business Week

The Murmansk Branch Director Aleksandr Bengert took part in the V Murmansk International Business Week, which took place in Murmansk in the period of November 14 to 16, 2016.

On November 14, within the forum program, the Murmansk Branch Director visited the “Arctic Shelf Development: Step by Step” international conference, where coastal infrastructure development issues and various issues of international cooperation in the Arctic zone of Russia were discussed. And the next day he took part in “Arctic course” plenary session, where the developed bill “On the Russian Federation Arctic zone development” was discussed.

On November 16, within operation of “Made in the Arctic” touristic site, the Murmansk Branch conducted an introductory excursion around the seaport of Murmansk infrastructure facilities for the participants of the meeting on the international maritime tourism. During the excursion, Aleksandr Bengert demonstrated the forum guests premises of the reconstructed building of the marine station and distant lines pier, told about technical characteristics of vessels, which can be served at the pier, including on researches conducted under the Murmansk Branch order, in order to ensure berthing of vessels with lather dimensions, than it is stipulated in valid documents of the hydraulic structure, at the distance line pier, and also informed on general development prospects of coastal passenger infrastructure of the seaport of Murmansk.

At the meeting on the international maritime tourism, which was held on Lenin nuclear icebreaker after the visit to the marine station, the Murmansk Branch director presented reports “On the seaport of Murmansk passenger area possibilities in cruise liners reception” and “On possibilities of organization of cruise voyages to the Arctic with the use of Kapitan Dranitsyn icebreaker”.

The meeting on the international tourism was attended by the Murmansk region Governor Marina Kovtun, First Deputy Governor of the Murmansk region Aleksey Tyukavin, representatives of federal authorities related to touristic activities, as well as Tour operators’ representatives.
