On December 9, 2023, the orchestra of the Far Eastern Basin Branch of FSUE "Rosmorport" and the Maritime State University named after Admiral G.I. Nevelskoy performed at an event held in Vladivostok in honor of Heroes of the Fatherland Day.

As part of the solemn event organized the House of Naval Officers (the center of culture and patriotic education), orchestra conductor Anatoly Yakimenko, together with a group of musicians, congratulated the Heroes of the Fatherland, presenting a thematic musical program. The songs “We need one Victory”, “Ballad of a Soldier” and “Smuglynka”, as well as solemn marches, were performed at the stage.

Cadets of the Maritime State University named after Admiral G.I. Nevelskoy, pupils of patriotic clubs, young soldiers, students and schoolchildren of the city also took part in the event.

Heroes of the Fatherland Day has been celebrated annually in Russia since 2007. The memorable date is timed to the establishment of the Order of St. George in 1769.
