On March 10, 2022 there was a working meeting between representatives of the Astrakhan branch of FSUE "Rosmorport" and dredging company CCCC Dredging Group Co Ltd (China).

During the meeting the issues of participation of the Chinese company in repair dredging works on the water area of the Volga-Caspian sea shipping channel in 2022-2024 were considered. Representatives of the branch spoke about the technical characteristics of possible dredging sites on the VCSSC, as well as about the climatic conditions in the area of their implementation.

As a result of negotiations, the parties outlined ways for further cooperation, taking into account the technical capabilities of the Chinese company's dredging fleet in carrying out repair dredging works.
