THSD 2 000 Dredger Severnaya Dvina Set Afloat

On 9 November 2015 a solemn ceremony of launching a dredger with hold volume of 2, 000 m3, built by FSUE “Rosmorport” order, was held.

The vessel was named Severnaya Dvina after a river in the north of the European part of Russia, which flows into the Dvina Bay of the White Sea not far from Arkhangelsk and Severodvinck. The vessel project owner – FSUE “Rosmorport” – intends to use it to maintain navigational depths and provide safe shipping in Arkhangelsk Seaport basin and on approaches to it.

The project meets the most up-to-date requirements for vessels provided that they are used in severe weather conditions of the northern region. Severnaya Dvina is capable to operate in air temperature range of -35°C to +40°C.
