The anniversary campaign “ROSMORPORT – 20 years in the right direction!” has successfully come to an end – the final events were held by the FSUE “Rosmorport” Astrakhan branch. Employees of the branch visited significant locations of the Astrakhan Region and installed the flag with the anniversary symbols of the enterprise.

In September, the employees of the branch installed the FSUE “Rosmorport” anniversary flag on the tower of the automated radio engineering post No. 4 (REP 4) of the Astrakhan VTS, which regulates the vessels movement in the seaport of Olya and in the northern part of the Caspian Sea. The 45-meter REP 4 tower is located on the Bezymyanny Island, in the water area of one of the longest hydraulic structures in the world – the Volga-Caspian Sea Shipping Canal connecting the main branch in the Volga River delta with the Caspian Sea. The island is located at the 145th km of the 188-kilometer-long canal. It is the most distant land section before entering canal’s marine section.

As part of the anniversary campaign in August, the branch employees, together with their families, visited the Astrakhan Biosphere Reserve in the village of Makovo, Volodarsky district of the Astrakhan Region. The participants of the action raised a flag with the anniversary symbols of FSUE “Rosmorport” on the lotus fields in the Volga River delta on the territory of the biosphere reserve.

Lotus fields are considered the pearl of the region – the lotus flowering season begins in mid-July and lasts until early September. This flower symbolizes rebirth, spiritual purity and peace of life. A protected area with unspoiled flora and fauna inhabited by wild swans, herons and cormorants is also located nearby.

The “ROSMORPORT – 20 years in the right direction!” campaign is dedicated to the anniversary of the FSUE “Rosmorport” activity. It started in Makhachkala and covered all the regions in which the largest titular owner of coastal and port infrastructure facilities and service and auxiliary fleet operates - from Kaliningrad to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The campaign became another confirmation of the key role of FSUE “Rosmorport” in ensuring navigation safety in the water areas of 59 of the 63 Russian seaports and on approaches to them, and contributes to the popularization of domestic tourism.
