Development of Port Infrastructure Facilities and Fleet

 

     2004

 

     In 2004 the enterprise commissioned berth No. 2 with two rampants as part of the cargo-passenger automobile ferry terminal in Kaliningrad Seaport. The berth was designed for handling ferries and Ro-Ro cargo and providing services to passengers. The project capacity of the berth was up to 7 thousand freighters per year, up to 4 thousand cars per year and up to 17 thousand passengers per year.

 

 

     2005

 

     In 2005 the Barochny basin of the Big Port of Saint-Petersburg was reconstructed. During the reconstruction the seabed level was degraded up to -11.5 and -12 metres, which enabled safe navigation in the basin and allowed large dimensional vessels to moor in the basin. Also in that year the construction of the radio towers of the VTS automatic radiotechnical posts at the islands of Gogland, Seskar and Sommers in the Gulf of Finland was completed. The radio towers were designed to monitor navigation and improve navigational safety at the recommended waterways in the eastern part of the Gulf of Finland, at the approaches to the seaports of Big Port of Saint-Petersburg, Vyborg, Vysotsk, Primorsk, and Ust-Luga.

 

 

     2006

 

     In 2006 the vessel traffic system in Sochi Seaport was constructed and commissioned in order to enhance navigational safety at the approaches and in the water area of Sochi Seaport.

 

     2007

 

     In 2007 berth No. 1 in Kaliningrad Seaport was commissioned as part of a cargo-passenger automobile ferry terminal. The berth was designed for handling containers and its estimated capacity reached 1 million tons. Also in that year the construction of the Oil harbor boot basin in the Big Port of Saint-Petersburg was completed. The boot basin was made to ensure safe approach and berthing of vessels to berths No. 1-4 of the Petersburg oil terminal. During the dredging works the boot basin had been formed with the size of 1.1×0.57 km, and with the seabed level from -11.7 to -12.2 metres. Implementation of the project allowed tankers to approach the oil-loading berths of the Petersburg oil terminal.
     In 2007 two leading marks were constructed at the hydraulic foundation of the Petrovsky fairway leading line in order to provide for navigation safety of vessels calling at the Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg.
     Besides, in 2007 reconstruction of the VTS in Arkhangelsk Seaport was completed. In the framework of reconstruction a radio technical post No. 3 “Talagi” was constructed in order to monitor vessel traffic and provide navigational assistance to vessels moving to the Talagi oil base berths. During the reconstruction the outdated equipment of the Arkhangelsk Seaport VTS was also changed.

 

 

     2008

 

     In 2008 the construction of an automatic radio technical post at the Set-Navolok Cape was performed. Integrated into the Kola Bay VTS, it allowed to monitor vessel traffic on the recommended routes in the approaches to Kola Bay (19 nautical miles to the North from the entrance to the Kola Bay), and also on the recommended routes in the northern, middle and southern bends of the Kola Bay, and in the Murmansk Seaport water area. Also in that year in order to enhance navigational safety at the Kaliningrad sea canal, and due to the increase of traffic flow in the seaport, a VTS control centre of Kaliningrad Seaport was built, as well as the VTS automatic radio technical posts ARTP 1, ARTP 2 and ARTP 3, which were designed to regulate traffic and improve shipping safety.
     Besides, in 2008 a project for reconstruction of the part of Petrovsky fairway in the Big Port of Saint-Petersburg located between the Saint-Petersburg sea canal and the access canal to the Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg was implemented. After dredging the bottom levels reached from -11.0 to -11.3 metres, allowing to provide safe access of passenger vessels to the berth of the Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg. Also in that period an access canal to the Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg joining the Petrovsky fairway and the Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg water area was constructed. After the dredging a sea navigable canal was formed with the width of 140-180 metres, the length of 1.8 kilometres and the bottom levels from -11.0 to -11.4 metres.
     The Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg also saw the completion of construction of an operational basin intended for maneuvering of vessels while mooring to berths No. 1-7. After dredging a ware area with the size of 1.0×0.85 kilometres and the bottom levels from -10.6 to -11.0 metres was formed, enabling safe maneuvering of passenger vessels while mooring to the seaport berths.
     Apart from that, the construction of a railway ferry complex in basin No. 4 of the Kaliningrad Seaport was completed. The railway ferry complex allowed to handle Rider and Mukran-103 types of railway ferries with the capacity of 800 thousand tons of cargo per year.
     Also in 2008 in Ust-Luga Seaport hydraulic engineering structures, buildings and constructions of stages No. 1 and No. 3 of the automobile-railway ferry complex were commissioned. The complex was designed for handlnig railway ferries and ro-ro vessels engaged in the cabotage lines Ust-Luga – seaports of Germany, with the project capacity of 0.75 million tons and 3.5 million tons consequently.

 

 

     2009

 

     In 2009 a newly constructed VTS was commissioned in Magadan Seaport allowing to improve shipping safety in the water area and the approaches to Magadan Seaport. Besides, in 2009 the Anniva Bay VTS was constructed in order to provide navigational safety of tankers in the approaches and the water area of Prigorodnoye Seaport, where the oil and liquefied gas terminals were situated.
     Also in 2009 a newly constructed complex of buildings for the Russian state border checkpoint within the cargo-passenger automobile terminal in basin No. 3 (town of Baltiysk) of Kaliningrad Seaport was commissioned in order to provide services to vessels. The flow capacity of the checkpoint allows to handle up to 5 thousand cargo and passenger vehicles and up to 17 thousand passengers. Besides, in the framework of the federal target program on equipment of the Russian state border checkpoints, the enterprise carried out construction and fitting of the complex for inspection of large-dimensional cargoes in Vostochny Seaport. The complex was designed for surveillance of marine containers with the help of hi-fi radioscopic images.
     In Olga Seaport in 2009 the construction of berths No. 8 and No. 9 of the container terminal designed for transshipment of container cargo was completed. The total length of the newly constructed berths was 326 metres, the depth at the berth wall was 5.5 metres, and their project capacity was 1.3 million tons per year. Besides, berth No. 4 of the ro-ro (automobile ferry) and general cargoes complex was commissioned, with the lenth of 180 metres, depth at the berth wall of 6 metres, and the project capacity of 450 thousand tons. Also port treatment facilities were built in order to handle rainwater and sewage of cargo area No. 1.
     In 2009 the reconstruction of the access, the boot basin protective structures (southern mall and western mall) and the coal berth of Shakhtersk Seaport, with the project capacity of 1 million tons of coal per year, was performed. The aim of the reconstruction was to enable handling of vessels with the tonnage of 6 thousand tons and the draught in cargo of 4.5 metres.
     In Ust-Luga Seaport in 2009 the construction of an operational basin for the transshipment terminals (universal, mineral, liquid and part of the coal one) was completed. The basin was intended for the passage of vessels with the estimated deadweight of 70 thousand tons, and enabled vessels with the draught of up to -14 metres and the tonnage of up to 80 thousand tons to call at the seaport. Also the reconstructed Southern access canal was commissioned, in order to provide for safe passage of vessels to the operational basin of the transshipment terminals (universal, mineral, liquid and part of the coal one). During the reconstruction the canal was broadened up to 180 meters and its bottom level was degraded up to -16 meters, which allowed tankers with the tonnage of up to 80 thousand tons and the draught in cargo of up to -14 metres pass to the berths of the liquid terminal of the seaport.

 

 

     2010

 

     In 2010 the Southern and Northern entering malls at the entrance to Kaliningrad sea canal were reconstructed with the aim to provide for the safe passage of vessels to the Baltic sea and though the canal, and a laser leading beacon was installed in the framework of reconstruction of the Sevastopolsky leading mark of the Kaliningrad sea canal. Besides, the buildings and constructions of stage No. 2 of the automobile and railway ferry complex were commissioned, in order to receive and handle automobile ferries engaged in the cabotage line “Ust-Luga - Baltiysk” and the foreign line “Ust-Luga – seaports of Germany”.  In Ust-Luga Seaport the first stage of construction of the container terminal basin for admission of vessels with the tonnage of up to 20 thousand tons, and the draught in cargo of up to 9.2 metres was completed.
     Besides, in 2010 berth No. 5 of the ro-ro (automobile ferry) and general cargoes terminal, with the berth wall length of 145 metres (and a 25-metre wing), the depth at the berth wall of 6.2 metres, and the project capacity of 400 thousand tons per year, was put into operation.
     In the framework of development of the navigational safety systems in 2010 the newly constructed VTS of Taman Seaport integrated into the Kerch Strait Regional VTS was commissioned, with the aim to regulate traffic in the water area and the approaches to Taman Seaport, and to transmit information to the Kerch Strait Regional VTS control centre. In 2010 an automated radio technical post No. 2 in the Mzymta river estuary integrated into the Sochi Seaport VTS was also built, in order to regulate traffic and enhance navigational safety in the approaches to the Mzymta cargo area in Sochi Seaport.

 

 

     2011

 

     In 2011 the enterprise completed the first stage of construction of an access canal in the Ruchyi New Harbour and an operational basin of berth No. 1 with a turning basin designed to provide an approach of vessels with the length of 110 metres, the width of 22.5 metres and the draught in cargo of 6.12 metres to the marine terminal for transshipment of rolling cargo in the Vistino area of Ust-Luga Seaport. Besides, the Northern access canal was commissioned, allowing to separate entering and exiting traffic flows. Also in that year two berths and western landing apron were commissioned in the framework of the first stage of construction of the multifunctional transshipment complex “Yug-2”. As a result, a contemporary terminal able to handle a wide range of rolling cargo, including new cars, container and general cargoes, was created.
     In the framework of implementation of the federal target program on fitting of the state border checkpoints in Ust-Luga Seaport in 2011 FSUE “Rosmorport” put into operation the checkpoint facilities constructed in the framework of the first stage of construction of a container terminal in Ust-Luga Seaport with the total flow capacity of 5 million tons of container cargo per year. In the Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg the construction of a passenger checkpoint through the state border of the Russian Federation within the marine passenger terminal on Vasilyevsky island was completed. The newly constructed checkpoint allows to handle more than 2 million passengers and 58 thousand cars coming by ferries to the Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg. Besides, a checkpoint for border, customs and other types of inspection at the transshipment terminal for rolling and general cargo in Olya Seaport was commissioned.
     In Olya Seaport in 2011 apart from the commissioning of the checkpoint facilities the following facilities were constructed: berth No. 5a of the transshipment terminal for rolling and general cargo with a berth length of 170 metres, depth at the wall of -6 metres and estimated capacity of 420 thousand tons; auxiliary berths No. 10, 10a and 10b with a berth length of 410 metres, depth at the wall of 5.2 metres designed for mooring and handling harbor fleet vessels. Moreover, multi-purpose berths No. 6. 6a and 7 with the total berth length of 451 metres, depth at the wall of 5.2 metres and the project capacity of almost 1.3 million tons.
     As for development of the navigational safety systems, in 2011 the first stage of reconstruction of the Vanino VTS was implemented, with the aim to expand its coverage area. It included creation of a new radio technical post “Muchukey-Dua Cape” operating in the approaches to the new coal terminal in Muchka Bay integrated into Vanino Port VTS and designed for supervision over navigation and improvement of navigational safety.

 

 

     2012

 

     In 2012 the project for reconstruction of berths No. 1-4 and dredging of the water area and approach canal in Vysotsk Seaport was completed. As a result, the berth space increased by 100 metres, and the seabed levels increased by 2.7 metres and reached - 12.7 metres. Implementation of the project allowed to double the flow capacity of the coal terminal, which reached 8.7 tons of coal per year, and also create conditions for handling Panamax ships with the maximal draught of 11.9 meters. Besides, in 2012 in Ust-Luga Seaport the second stage of construction of an approach canal and operational water area of berth No. 1 with the turning basin in the Ruchyi New Harbor was completed in order to provide access for vessels with the length of 140 meters width of 22.7 meters and draught in cargo of 7.35 meters to the marine terminal for rolling cargo in the Vistino area of Ust-Luga Seaport.
     In the framework of development of the navigation safety systems in 2012 the construction of an automatic radiotechnical post at Cape Bobroviy was completed. The post is designed for supervision over navigation and improvement of navigation safety in the approaches to Vysotsk Seaport from the direction of Vyborg Seaport, as well as in the approaches to Vyborg Seaport and to Saimaa Canal. Also in that year the 1 stage of the reconstruction of the differential subsystem of global navigation satellite systems GLONASS/GPS was completed, including:

• reconstruction of base stations and integral control stations (main and reserve sets) of the differential GPS system at the Gelendzhik radio center;
• creation of remote control posts in the Regional Center for Communications Management in Novorossiysk in order to control and manage the new control and corrective station at the Gelendzhik radio center, and to control the parameters of the navigation field, which is being created by the new control and corrective station of the GPS subsystem;
• creation of a remote monitoring post at the Gelendzhik radio center in order to supervise the parameters of the navigation field created by an RTK station.

     Besides, the year of 2012 was marked by completion of the first stage of reconstruction of the GMDSS facilities, sea area A1 and A2 of Temryuk Seaport, located near Golubitskaya Cossak village. As a result, the transmitting radio center of GMDSS area A2 situated in the Golubitskiy radio center was fitted with new MF/HF transmitters with the power output of 500 Wt, on the basis of TW 7000 transceivers. The coastal UHF radio station at the Achilleon automatic radiotechnical post provided stable UHF communication between the marine rescue subcentre in Temryuk Seaport and the ships in the Kerch Strait and its approaches.
     Also in that year Vanino Seaport saw the construction of a new automatic radiotechnical post “Kekurnaya Sopka” integrated into the Vanino Port VTS and designed for navigation control and increase of navigation safety level in the far approaches to Vanino Seaport and Sovyetskaya Gavan Seaport.

 

 

     2013

 

     In 2013 in the framework of implementation of the federal program for construction of Olympic facilities and development of Sochi as a mountain climatic resort, seven newly constructed marine terminals: Adler, Dagomys, Kurgorodok, Lazarevskoye, Loo, Matsesta and Khosta were put into operation in Sochi Seaport. The terminals were designed for mooring of passenger and leisure boats, embarkation and disembarkation of passengers. They allow to handle vessels with the length up to 40 metres, draught up to 3.6 metres . and passenger capacity up to 300 people. During one navigation the Adler and Matsesta marine terminals can receive more than 203 thousand passengers, whereas the other five marine terminals can receive almost 102 thousand passengers during the same period.
     Also in that year the federal property facilities of the cargo area of Sochi Seaport in the Mzymta river estuary comprising the coastal protection and separating hydraulic structures, the cargo area basin with the bottom level of -9.2 metres and the aids to navigation – coastal light aids to navigation and floating warning signs, and also a wave protective structure designed to sustain wave load from estimated storms and provide safe mooring for cruise vessels during the Winter Olympics 2014.
In order to develop the navigation safety systems in seaports in 2013 the enterprise put into operation the newly constructed coastal station BS-2 GMDSS sea area A1 near Lotspost, which completely covers the Azov and Rostov-on-Don water areas, and also the automated radiotechnical post No. 3 near the Pavlo-Ochakovo village, integrated with the Taganrog and Azov Port VTS. In order to connect the new facilities, two digital radio-relay lines for transmission of communication signals on the basis of Ericsson MiniLink-TN equipment with the range of 15 gigahertz.
     Also in 2013 the following facilities were reconstructed:

• digital radio-relay line for transmission of communication signals “Taganrog Seaport – Beglitsa village” on the basis of Ericsson MiniLink-E equipment with the range of 7 gigahertz. Due to the reconstruction the flow capacity of the line had increased;
• Taganrog and Azov Port VTS Centre in Taganrog Seaport;
• GMDSS communications management center, to which the newly constructed GMDSS sea area A1 shore-based station was connected;
• ARTP-1 in Taganrog Seaport and ARTP-2 in Beglitsa village, where the radiolocator equipment and UHF radio equipment were changed, and the electric power system was reconstructed;
• GMDSS area A1 shore-based station in Taganrog Seaport, where the UHF radio station was changed;
• control-corrective station – base station of the automatic identification system GLONASS/GPS, where the reconstruction provided hi-fi navigation mode.

     Implementation of the capital construction projects allowed to increase navigation safety level in the water areas of the seaports of Azov, Rostov-on-Don, and Taganrog in conditions of highly intensive navigation.
     In the same year the second stage of construction of the Anniva Bay VTS, including the construction of the Portoviy automated radiotechnical post, was completed, and resulted in broadening of the VTS area, which covered the basin and approaches to Korsakov Seaport. 
     In order to protect human life at sea in 2013 the newly constructed GMDSS area A2 facilities in Plastun terminal of Olga Seaport, located in the northern part of the Japanese Sea, along the Russian coast from the Posyet Bay to Cape Zolotoy, were commissioned, in order to provide radio duty at distress frequencies.

 

 

     2014

 

     In 2014 in the framework of implementation of the Federal Program of Preparation for the 2014 Olympics and Development of Sochi as a Mountain Resort, the coastal facilities acting as a base for the frontier ships of the Federal Frontier Services of the Federal Security Service of Russia were constructed and commissioned in Sochi Seaport. The facilities included a checkpoint facility, an administrative and technical building, a warehouse, a hangar and a ship repairing yard.

     In the same year before the start of the Winter Olympics the reconstruction of the existing coastal infrastructure facilities in Sochi Seaport and the construction of the new ones was completed. In the framework of creation of the international centre for sea passenger and cruise shipping new territories for placement of port infrastructure facilities, with the area size of 7.5 hectares,  were formed as well as  the New Harbor (“Novaya Gavan”) operational basin  with the total area size of 0.64 square kilometres. A protective mall, a wavebreaker, a coastal protective structure and 6 berths were constructed, whereas 12 berths were reconstructed. A building for checkpoint at the state border, an administrative building, and engineering facilities were constructed, floating warning signs and coastal navigation signs were set out. In order to provide for safe port calls and safe mooring,  of cruise ships with the length of more than 311 metres, the width of 38.6 metres and the draught of 8.8 metres, the dredging works were performed in the amount of 597.3 thousand cubic metres. As a result, the seabed level was lowered up to -11.5 metres. The new port facilities in Sochi Seaport allow to receive two 300-metre cruise liners and one 170-metre ferry at a time.

     In accordance with resolution of Rosmorrechflot No. RU77203000-AD-39/33 dated September 11, 2014 the constructed operational water area of the liquefied hydrocarbon gas transshipment complex with total area of 150 thousand sq. m and the bottom level of -13,5 meters has been put into operation in the seaport of Ust-Luga. This project, carried out by the enterprise under the Federal Target Program “Development of Transport System of Russia 2010-2015”, allows to provide safe passage to the berths of the complex for transshipment of liquefied petroleum gas to vessels with the length up to 184 meters, width up to 32.2 meters, deadweight up to 47.8 thousand tonnes and loaded draft up to 10.8 meters.

     In October 2014, in accordance with resolution of Rosmorrechflot No. RU77203000-AD-39/35 dated October 28, 2014 the reconstructed Great Kronstadt roadstead was put into operation in the seaport Big Port Saint Petersburg. In the frame of the reconstruction project the enterprise has created the widening of the entrance to the Litke-West canal in order to ensure safe manoeuvring of the design container vessel of type “Containerships VII” with deadweight of 13.8 thousand tonnes and overall dimensions in length of 158,8 m, width of 21.8 m, and loaded draft of 8.9 m at the entrance to the canal, based on the recommendations of the pilot services developed during the canal operation. In addition to this, there have been created a turning area with the diameter of 560 m and invert level of -11,5 m to ensure safe navigation of the design vessel during the passage from Kronstadt Ship fairway to the Litke-West canal and back, and an anchorage with the diameter of 530 m and invert level is -11,5 m for temporary lay up of the design vessel by own anchor before entering the Litke-West canal. The total volume of dredging amounted to 428 thousand cbm of dredged soil .

     In November 2014, in accordance with resolution of Rosmorrechflot No. RU77203000-AD-39/36 dated November 10, 2014, the fully reconstructed approach channel in Novaya Gavan Ruchi harbor (including the operational water area) was put into operation at the seaport of Ust-Luga . In the course of dredging ordered by the enterprise there were extracted 405.7 thousand cbm of soil thus bringing the seabed levels in the operation waters near berth No. 1 of the marine terminal for transshipment of ro-ro cargoes and in the turning basin to -9.4 m mark, and in the approach channel — to -9.7 m mark. The reconstructed facilities provide for a safe passage to the Novaya Gavan sea terminal of the seaport of Ust-Luga for vessels with dimensions in length up to 140 m, width up to 22.7 m, and loaded draft up to 7.35 m, which aims to increase the volume of transshipment of ro-ro and general cargo on berths of the terminal.

 

     2015

 

     In February 2015 in accordance with permission of Rosmorrechflot No. RU77203000-AD-39/1 dated 14.01.2015 distant lines pier and shore-protection in Murmansk Seaport were set into operation. The reconstruction of the facilities was carried out in the framework of 100 anniversary of Murmansk foundation in order to accept international cruise vessels. The works resulted in pier length increase in 58.6 m and its widths increase in 5.9 m. After dredging the bottom level at the south pier reached – 9.8 m, and – 6.2 m at the north one, that will allow to service passenger vessels with width of not less than 160 metres at the southern area of the pier and auxiliary vessels with the northern one суда. Besides, the passenger terminal was totally reconstructed, and its territory was increased in 1.7 thous. m². Implementation of these two projects helped to increase passenger turnover in Murmansk Seaport.

     In March 2015 in accordance with Rosmorrechflot resolution No. RU77203000-AD-39/20 dated 31.03.2015, the constructed protecting hydraulic structure (coast protection) of the southern part of the providing fleet base territory in the seaport of Ust-Luga with length 348 meters was commissioned. It is intended to protect the formed territory from erosion during dredging in the providing fleet base operating water area.

     In May 2015 in accordance with resolution No. 47-505105-0082-2014 dated 29.05.2015 of the State Construction Supervision Committee and the State Expertise Committee of the Leningrad region, the constructed “Vyazy” automated radio technical post integrated into the seaport of Primorsk VTS was commissioned. It is intended to extend the area of radar monitoring of vessel traffic in the area of the northern part of strait Berkezund and improve the safety of navigation of oil tankers proceeding to the seaport of Primorsk.

     In November 2015 in accordance with permission of Committee on Property, Land Relations and Civil Construction of the Administration of the Municipal Entity “Kandalaksha District” dated 02.11.2015 No. 51-RU51503000-03-2015 the newly constructed Kandalaksha Bay VTS was put into operation in Kandalaksha Seaport. The VTS is designed to enhance navigation safety for all types of vessels in Kandalaksha Bay, at the approaches and in the waters of the seaports of Vitino and Kandalaksha. According to the resulrs of the work of the certifying committee FSUE “Rosmorport” received a certificate issued by Rosmorrechflot dated 29.04.2016 № 16.01867.315 stating the compliance of the Kandalaksha Bay VTS to the requirements of the VTS second-category.

     In December 2015 in accordance with Rosmorrechflot resolution No. 47-RU47507302-SG-39/58-2015 dated 14.12.2015, section No. 1 of port protective structure with length 1057 meters constructed within the first stage of construction was commissioned. It is intended for protection of operating water area of container terminal, complex for transshipment of liquefied petroleum gas, multipurpose transshipping complex “Yug-2” and road railway ferry complex of the seaport of Ust-Luga from the ice action, drift and waves.

 

     2016

 

     In April 2016, in accordance with Ministry of Construction of Russia resolution No. 47-30-0273-2016MS dated 11.04.2016 the previously constructed Northern approach canal in the seaport of Ust-Luga with the length of 5.93 km, width of 205 meters and depths from 17,5 to 18 meters was commissioned. It is intended to ensure safe navigation of vessels with the draft up to 15 meters to the transshipment complexes berths located in the water area of the northern part of the eastern area of the seaport. In the same month, on the basis of resolution No. 47-RU47507308-VV-39/11-2016 dated 14.04.2016, issued by Rosmorrechflot, the previously constructed container terminal water area (2nd and 3rd stages, phase 2.1) in the seaport Ust-Luga with the area of 150.3 thousand m² and bottom marks of minus 13.5 meters (according to the Baltic system of heights) was commissioned. It is intended to ensure approach of vessels with the following design parameters: maximum length – 115 meters, width – 18.5 meters, loaded draft – 6.8 meters, capacity – 11 thousand tons, to the container terminal berths in the seaport of Ust-Luga.

     In June 2016, in accordance with Rosmorrechflot resolution No. 78-RU785070311-VV-39/20 dated 27.06.2016, the first stage of constructed approach canal and water area of the “Bronka” Multifunctional Sea Transshipping Complex (MSTC) in the seaport Big Port Saint Petersburg were commissioned. In the result of the performed dredging the following facilities were formed: approach channel to the “Bronka” MSTC with the length of 6,442 meters, width of 150 meters and bottom mark minus 11.2 meters (BS); “Bronka” MSTC water area with the width of 380 meters and with bottom mark minus 11.2 meters (BS), and also front and rear range markers of two linear navigation ranges “Bronka 2” and “Bronka 3” were mounted on hydraulic bases. The total volume of dredging amounted to 20.2 million m³ of soil. The project allowed ensuring safe movement of container carriers with the length of 190 meters, the width of 30 meters and loaded draft of 8.5 meters from Saint-Petersburg entry lighted mid-channel buoy along the created approach channel to the “Bronka” MSTC berths and safe maneuvering of vessels in the Transshipping Complex water areas.

     In August 2016, in accordance with Rosmorrechflot resolution No. 30-RU30507311-NZ-39/24-2016 dated 02.08.2016 the previously constructed berth No. 5a with design capacity 490 thousand tons per year was commissioned in the seaport of Olya. It is intended for processing of design vessels up to 130 meters long, with the width of 16.22 meters and loaded draft of 5.1 meters, carrying ro-ro (road ferry) and general cargo.

     In October 2016 pursuant to Permit No 51-320000-489-2016 of October 03, 2016 given by the Committee for Urban and Territorial Development of the Murmansk Administration a reconstructed building of the marine terminal was put into operation in the seaport of Murmansk. During the reconstruction, the total space of the building has increased up to 4,747 square meters from 1,700 square metersб and the gross building volume has increased up to 17,476 cubic meters from 8,890 cubic meters. The measures have been taken to enhance earthquake resistance of the structure. The operations have been carried out to build the third floor of the building. The conditions have been created to serve people with limited mobility. The service areas of passengers proceeding by internal and international shipping routes (with beds for 50 people) have been allotted. The conditions have been created to ensure the effective work of the Russian border checkpoint with the capacity of 120 passengers per hour. The premises have been created to accommodate workers of the port authorities and public regulatory agencies. The implementation of the project has increased the quality of passenger service in the seaport of Murmansk and facilitated the development of cruise tourism in the Murmansk region.

     In the same month pursuant to Rosmorrechflot Permit No 23-RU23531305-KS-39/33-2016 of October 26, 2016 a reconstructed berth, Berth No 8 in the seaport of Kavkaz, has been put into operation. As a result of the reconstruction the length of Berth No 8 has increased up to 93.97 meters. Besides, a wing wall of 20.5 meters in length and an abutment for ferry ramp supporting have been erected. Thus, the length of the berth wall is 134.8 meters. Ferryboats of 102.2 meters in length, 18 meters in breadth and 3.8 meters in load draught may be processed on the reconstructed berth. The capacity of the Reconstructed Berth No 8 for passenger service has increased up to 1.8 million passengers per year and the capacity for rolling cargoes shipment has increased up to 542,000 automobiles per year.

     In November 2016 pursuant to Rosmorrechflot Permit No 25-RU25308000-NZh-39/34-2016 of November 03, 2016 Reconstructed Section 20-5 of Water Area 20 of the Nakhodka Gulf with the seabed level of 21 meters was put into operation in the seaport of Vostochny. The water area section is designed for safe approach and mooring of tankers of NO-150 type to Berth No 2 of the Kozmino sea oil loading terminal in the seaport of Vostochny. The gross capacity of NO-150-type-vessels is 159,000 tons and the dimensions are 274.5 meters in length, 48 meters in breadth and 17 meters in load draught.

     In December 2016 pursuant to Rosmorrechflot Permit No 89-RU89506000-NZh-39/41-2016 of December 09, 2016 a coast protection of the south-eastern ice barrier root, which was earlier built in the seaport of Sabetta, was put into operation. The coast protection is within the limits of the artificial plot of land designed for protecting the territory of the seaport of Sabetta from the season ice movement and ensuring its year-round work.

 

     2017

 

    In June 2017 pursuant to Rosmorrechflot Permit No 78-RU78507311-КС-39/29-2017 of June 14, 2017 the second stage of the built approach canal and a water area of the Bronka multifunctional marine transshipment terminal was put into operation in the seaport of Big Port St Petersburg. After the dredging operations the breadth of the approach canal has increased up to 185 meters. The seabed levels of the approach canal and the water area has increased up to 14.4 meters. The implementation of the project allowed for ensuring safe movement of design vessels of up to 210 meters in length, up to 32.2 meters in breadth and up to 11.5 meters in load draught on the approach canal to the Bronka multifunctional marine transshipment terminal from the Kronshtadt ship channel and safe maneuvering of vessels with such dimensions directly in the water area of the transshipment terminal. 

     In November 2017 pursuant to Rosmorrechflot Permit No 89-RU89506000-NZh-39/51-2017 of November 13, 2017 an artificial plot of land with the space of 14.75 ha was put into operation in the seaport of Sabetta. The artificial plot of land is designed for installing the LNG plant flare unit and facilities of the liquefied natural gas and gas condensate shipping system in the seaport of Sabetta.

     In December 2017 pursuant to Rosmorrechflot Permit No 23-RU23510102-NZh-39/64-2017 of December 25, 2017 a reconstructed passenger pier of over 72 meters in length and 20 meters in breadth was put into operation in the seaport of Tuapse. During the reconstruction, the existing pier has been dismantled due to the considerable dilapidation of this hydraulic structure, and a new passenger pier has been built on the same site. The implementation of the planned measures aimed at reconstructing the passenger pier allowed for restoring the hydraulic structure for its further use as intended to serve passenger vessels of local passenger lines and laying-up of ships of up to 44.5 meters in length, up to 14 meters in breadth and up to 4.8 meters in load draught.

     In the same month pursuant to Rosmorrechflot Permit No 23-RU23300101-NZh-39/65-2017 of December 26, 2017 the advance sections of the Northern and Southern groins have been put into operation in the seaport of Kavkaz. As a result of the reconstruction the length of the advance sections of the groins has increased up to 24 meters and the breadth has increased up to 17 meters. Up-to-date aids to navigation and the port marine lights have been installed. The implementation of the planned events allowed for increasing the level of navigation safety of vessels calling at the seaport of Kavkaz.

 

     2018

 

     In September 2018 pursuant to the Rosmorrechflot Permit No. 23-RU23305001-NZh39/33-2018 of September 19, 2018 the reconstructed No. 34 and No. 34a of the Coastal Breakwater were put into operation in the seaport of Novorossiysk. Upon the results of the reconstruction the length of Berth No. 34 increased up to 287.67 meters and Berth No. 34a increased up to 149 meters. Following the results of rendered services Reconstructed Berth No. 34 can accommodate design vessels (for example, the Albatross vessel) with the parameters of up to 205.5 meters in length, up to 25.2 meters in breadth and up to 7,5 meters in draft. Design vessels of the Expedition type of 104 meters in length, 18.9 meters in breadth and 4.7 meters in draft can be handled on Berth No. 34a.

 

     In October 2018 pursuant to Rosmorrechflot Permit No. 78-RU7831000-NZH39/35-2018 of October 12, 2018 a berth complex was put into operation for laying up the icebreaker fleet in the seaport of Big Port St Petersburg. During the works, the following facilities have been built

     - Berth No. 89 with the length of the berth wall of 546 meters and the seabed level at the berth of 12 meters designed for moorage of eight icebreakers;

     - Berth No. 90 with the wing and the length of the berth wall of 243 meters and the seabed level at the berth of seven meters designed for moorage of four icebreakers;

     - the Coal Harbor water area has been reconstructed on the approaches toward Berth No. 89 and Berth No. 90 with the wing to ensure safe approach toward and icebreaker layup to corresponding berths;

     - two marine lights three meters high are equipped with sectoral lights designed for ensuring safe approach of vessels toward berths.

     The implementation of the project allowed ensuring safe mooring of the icebreaker fleet of the North-Western Basin Branch at its own berths and considerably reduced the branch’s expenses for the lease of berths from operators of sea terminals that carried out their activities in the seaport of Big Port St Petersburg.

 

     In December 2018 pursuant to Rosmorrechflot Permit No. 89-RU89506000-NZH39/47-2018 of December 21, 2018 the abyssal part of the Southeastern ice protection facility and the Northwestern ice protection facility, which have been built in the seaport of Sabetta and designed for protecting the water area of the seaport of Sabetta from seasonal ice movement and ensuring its all-year work, were put into operation. 

     At the same time, in December 2018 pursuant to Rosmorrechflot Permit No. 89-RU89506000-NZH39/41-2018 of December 11, 2018 the hydraulic structure “The Water Area of the Port (the Water Area of Auxiliary Berths)” with an area of 28.99 ha and the seabed levels of 12.3 meters at Berth No. 2 and 13.2 meters at Berth No. 3 and eight meters at Berth No. 4 designed for safe maneuvering and layup of vessels moving to Berths NoNo. 1-4 in the seaport of Sabetta. 

     In addition to it, in December 2018 pursuant to Rosmorrechflot Permit No. 89-RU89506000-NZH39/42-2018 of December 11, 2018 the hydraulic structure “The Water Area of the Port (the Water Area of Cargo Berths)” with an area of 109.14 ha and the seabed levels of 15.2 meters designed for ensuring safe maneuvering and layup of LNG tankers (gas carriers) of Yamalmaz class moving to Technological Berth No. 1 and Technological Berth No. 2 was put into operation in the seaport of Sabetta. 

     In the same month pursuant to Rosmorrechflot Permit No. 47-RU48507302-NZH39/46-2018 of December 21, 2018 the second section of the port protecting structure of the water area of the Southern District was put into operation in the seaport of Ust Luga. The Ograditelny marine light of 10 meters high has been installed on it. The second section of the port protecting structure of 1.293 meters in length is designed for protecting the water area of the Southern District of the seaport of Ust Luga (water areas of the container terminal, the liquefied hydrocarbon transshipment complex, the South-2 multifaceted transshipment complex and the motor railroad ferry complex) from ice, cinders, and storms.

 

     2019

 

     In February 2019 pursuant to Permit No. 89-RU89506000-003-2019 issued by the Construction and Architecture Department of the Yamal District Municipal Entity Administration February 13, 2019, a warehouse for aids to navigation storage and an open platform for aid to navigation service were put into operation. They are designed for storing and servicing floating warnings, anchors and chains to them, light-optical equipment and components to them and deployed in the water area of the seaport of Sabetta. They also include a control correction station (the GPS-GLONASS differential corrections station) designed for circular transmission on vessels of differential corrections of the global satellite system from control correction stations of the marine differential sub-system that allows ensuring the regime of high-frequency navigation in the Ob Bay and on the approaches toward it.

     In the same month pursuant to Permit No. 89-RU89506000-004-2019 issued by the Construction and Architecture Department of the Yamal District Municipal Entity Administration February 13, 2019 the automated radar posts – No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 were put into operation in the seaport of Sabetta. They are designed for observing the navigation situation in the Ob Bay and making radio telephone communication with vessels on VHF channels. Receiving and transmitting centers consisting of GMDSS equipment of Sea Area A1 and Sea Area A2 were also put into operation in the seaport. They are designed for

     - permanent radio watch of vessels, receipt and transmission of messages and radio telephone calls of disaster, urgency and safety by using the digital selective call on corresponding working channels;

     - operative contacts between vessels and the Dikson marine rescue and coordination center of FSBI “The Administration of Western Arctic” to organize rescue operations.

 

     In April 2019 pursuant to Commissioning Certificate No. 39-RU39301000-085-2017 of 17.04.2019 issued by the Kaliningrad Region Agency for Architecture, Urban Development and Long-Term Growth a reconstructed base of aids to navigation was put into operation in the seaport of Kaliningrad. The base is located in the settlement of Rybachiy. During the implementation of the project, nine new buildings and structures were built. A berth of 50 meters long on the PK330 of the Kaliningrad maritime canal and a paint praying booth have been reconstructed. The use of the aids to navigation base manufacturing complex will allow increasing quality of service, repairs and storage of aids to navigation that have been installed in the water area of the seaport of Kaliningrad, including in the water area of the Kaliningrad maritime canal. This equipment is designed for ensuring navigation safety of vessels, which put call at the seaport of Kaliningrad.

     In May 2019 pursuant to Rosmorrechflot Permit No. 89-RU89506000-ЗД39/11-2019 of May 14, 2019 the following facilities were put into operation in the seaport of Sabetta, i.e. an approach canal of 5,65 km in length, 495 meters in breadth and the seabed levels of 15.1 meters under the third construction stage – the canal is designed for safe approach of LNG tankers (gas carriers) of Yamalmax class from Anchoring Station No. 1 of the seaport to technological berths on Section No. 1 of the water area of the seaport of Sabetta – and a maritime canal of 48.933 km length, 295 meters in breadth and the seabed levels of 15.1 meters under the second construction stage – the canal is designed for safe approach of LNG tankers (gas carriers) of Yamalmax class to Section No. 2 of the water area of the seaport of Sabetta.

     In December 2019, in accordance with the resolution of the Committee of state construction supervision and state expertise of the Leningrad region No. 47-RU47507302-191K-2016 of 04.12.2019, a new building of the VTS center in the seaport of Ust-Luga was put into operation. The modern four-storey building with a total area of 653 square meters is designed to house ship traffic management services, communications and electric navigation services, support personnel and technological equipment of the Ust-Luga Department of the North-West basin branch of FSUE "Rosmorport". The implementation of this capital investment project will improve the working conditions of the relevant departments of the Ust-Luga Department responsible for the operation of the Ust-Luga port VTS facilities, as well as create a single control center for all navigation safety systems in the Ust-Luga seaport.
     In the same month, Rosmorrechflot Permit No. 47-RU47507302-ZD-39/62-2019 of 30.12.2019 put into operation the built Luzhsky Western canal, as well as the Luzhsky Sea Western leading beacon in the seaport of Ust-Luga. Implementation of the project for the construction of the Luzhsky western canal with a length of 2,570 meters, a width of 160 meters and a depth of 14 meters, intended for the safe passage of sea-going vessels of the NO-50 type (draft 11 meters, length 183.4 meters, width 32.2 meters), as well as the construction of the Luzhsky Sea Western leading beacon, as part of a 35-meter-high front beacon sign and a 30-meter rear beacon sign combined with the Port ARTP The Ust-Luga port VTS in the Ust-Luga seaport made it possible to ensure safe navigation of vessels along the beacon direction 307.6 ° – 127.6 ° when moving to the berths of the transshipment complexes in the northern part of the eastern region of the seaport of Ust-Luga.
     In addition, in December 2019, in accordance with the permission of the Agency for Architecture, Urban Planning and Prospective Development of the Kaliningrad Region No. 39-RU39513000-46-2016 of 04.12.2019, the reconstructed berth No. 2 was put into operation with the construction of crane runways with a length of 180 meters in the seaport Kaliningrad near the city of Baltiysk within the framework of the project for the development of cargo-passenger auto-ferry and railway ferry terminals in the city of Baltiysk, including the construction and subsequent operation of a container terminal with a throughput capacity of 300 thousand. TEU per year, in the seaport of Kaliningrad. The implementation of the project is associated with the need to change the category of the berth in terms of operational loads from "II" to "0-k" (ferry to freight), with the installation of a Liebherr P131L-Super rail-mounted container loader with a lifting capacity of 45 tons and a track width of 15.3 meters, designed for handling (transshipment) of sea containers. In turn, the reconstructed berth No. 2 will handle design vessels up to 160 meters long, up to 26 meters wide, loaded draft up to 8.5 meters, deadweight up to 22 thousand tons, delivering container cargo to the seaport of Kaliningrad up to 300 thousand TEU per year.

 

     2020

 

     In February 2020, in accordance with the permission of the Office of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Administration of Makhachkala No. 05-308-121-2018 of 02.12.2020, the reconstructed Makhachkala VTS building was put into operation. The implementation of this project made it possible to compactly and conveniently place the technical equipment of the Makhachkala VTS, GMDSS and ETMETS, to create comfortable workplaces for the Makhachkala VTS personnel, GMDSS personnel and employees of the department for technical supervision of the seaport of Makhachkala of the FSUE "Rosmorport" Makhachkala branch, improve their sanitary and living conditions in order to improve the performance of the relevant personnel.

     In September 2020, in accordance with the commissioning permit issued by the Department of architecture and urban planning of the Administration of the Azov District of Rostov Region No. 61-501-028-2020 as of 17.09.2020, the reconstructed berth No. 1 in the village of Kagalnik (Lotspost) was put into operation. As a result of the reconstruction, the length of the berth was increased from 35.6 to 105 meters, the width was increased to 22 meters and the depths in the water area adjacent to the berth were brought to 4 meters in the Baltic system of heights. Total area of the facility after completed reconstruction was 2.3 thousand sq. m. Berth No. 1 was equipped with stepladders, wheel-breaking devices, mooring pedestals and baffles, which allow handling vessels of 72.4 meters length, 14 meters width and 1.8 meters of load draught. During the reconstruction of the berth, there also were built a coastal reinforcement of the slope with a length of 15.4 meters, adjacent to berth No. 1, a coastal reinforcement wall with a length of 37 meters and a wing wall of the coastal reinforcement wall with a length of 36 meters. Implementation of the project allowed not only to improve the conditions of loading / unloading, storage and maintenance of floating aids to navigation of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Azov Basin Branch, but also provided protection of the adjacent territory from erosion.

     In November 2020, in accordance with the permit of Rosmorrechflot No. 47-RU47407202-ZD-39/68-2020 as of 16.11.2020, the artificial land plot in the seaport of Ust-Luga with an area of 5.5 hectares, designed to build onshore facilities of the supporting fleet base on it, was commissioned.

     In December 2020, in accordance with the permission of the Department of Construction and Architecture of the Administration of the Yamal District Municipality No. 89-RU89506000-004-2020 as of 09.12.2020, the new capital construction facilities built were put into operation in the seaport of Sabetta: VTMS, GMDSS and the seaport administration building, designed to accommodate the personnel of the VTMS and communications services of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Arkhangelsk Branch, as well as the personnel of the captain of the seaport of Sabetta of FSU “Western Arctic Seaport Administration”; closed parking area for official vehicles and watercraft intended for the parking, repair and maintenance of official vehicles and watercraft; technical building for navigational equipment intended for storage of spare parts and repair of navigational equipment; front leading mark and a rear leading mark intended to indicate the alignment of an approach channel in the seaport of Sabetta.
     In the same month, in accordance with the permission of Rosmorrechflot No. 27-RU27504000-ZD-39/91-2020 as of 30.12.2020 the constructed operational water area of berths No. 1 and No. 2 of the transshipment complex and the water area of the turning area with a total area of 28.7 ha and the bottom mark of 19.3 meters in the seaport of Vanino, intended for maneuvering and movement of vessels, were put into operation, which allowed to carry out ship-entries and safe staging of vessels of CH-115 type of 247 meters length, 40.8 meters width and 15.25 meters of load draught to the moorings of a specialized coal transshipment complex in Muchke Bay. The implementation of this project, carried out within the framework of the Comprehensive Plan for the Modernization and Expansion of the Main Infrastructure, will ensure the transshipment in the seaport of Vanino of coking coal produced at the Yakut deposits.

 

     2021

 

     In January 2021, in accordance with the permit for the commissioning issued by the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Administration of the Azov District No. 61-501-001-2021 as of 12.01.2021, the built workshop for the repair and maintenance of navigation aids was put into operation on the territory of Lotspost in the village of Kagalnik, Azov District, with an area of 190.1 sq. m, designed to create the necessary conditions for the subdivisions of the Azov Basin Branch to perform works on the maintenance of navigation aids and repair works, as well as to increase the efficiency of technological processes for repairing and painting buoys (due to the simultaneous performance of several technological operations and the elimination of technological interruptions).
     In the same month, in accordance with the permit of Rosmorrechflot No. 47-RU47507302-ZD-39/1-2021 dated 18.01.2021, there was commissioned the water area of the industrial and logistics park (complex) for the storage and processing of mineral fertilizers in the seaport of Ust-Luga with an area of more than 24.4 hectares and depths of up to 17.2 meters on an area of 17.5 hectares – operating water area of berth No. 1 and shunting water areas of berth No. 1 and berth No. 2, as well as depths from 9 m to 12.7 meters on an area of 6.9 hectares – operating water area of berth No. 3. The total volume of seized bottom soil during the work amounted to almost 1.5 million cubic meters. The implementation of this project in the seaport of Ust-Luga, provided for by the Comprehensive Plan for the Modernization and Expansion of the Main Infrastructure, will ensure a safe approach to the berths No. 1 and No. 2 of the specialized sea terminal for the transshipment of mineral fertilizers of vessels of up to 235 meters length, 32 meters width and up to 14.2 meters load draught; to the berth under construction No. 3 of vessels of up to 185.1 meters length, 23.7 meters width and no more than 10.1 meters of load draught, as well as to the root of the berth No. 3 of vessels of 118.7 meters length, 16.7 meters width and no more than 6.4 meters of load draught.

     In November 2021, following the permission of Rosmorrechflot to put the facility into operation No. 87-RU87303000-ZD-39/77 dated November 23, 2021, berths No. 1 and No. 2 in the seaport of Pevek were put into operation after reconstruction. Reconstruction of the berths was carried out from September 2019 to September 2021 (with a suspension for the winter period) in difficult weather conditions. After the reconstruction of the berths, the total length of the berth wall was 365.64 m, and the depths at the cordon of the berths were deepened to 9.8 m. The reconstructed berths can handle vessels with a draft of up to 8.6 m. The design capacity of the berths after the reconstruction is 800 thousand tons per year.

     In December 2021, following the permission of Rosmorrechflot to put the facility into operation No. 78-RU78131000-ZD-39/82-2021 dated December 22, 2021, berths No. 34, 35, the operational water area of ​​berths No. 34, 35 and the approach channel to berths No. 31-35 in the seaport of Vostochny were put into operation after reconstruction. During the reconstruction, two fixed mooring posts were constructed, increasing the length of the berth wall of the berths No. 34, 35 by 63.5 m. During the reconstruction of the berths No. 34, 35 of the seaport of Vostochny, artificial fixation of the foundation and backfill soils was carried out by installing soil-cement piles. This measure allowed to deepen the design level of the bottom of the operational water areas of the berths No. 34, 35 and the approach channel to the berths No. 31-35 from -9.73 m to -12.5 m. The implementation of the works planned by the reconstruction will allow to handle at berths No. 34, 35 vessels up to 185 m long, with a displacement of 30 thousand tons and a draft loaded of up to 10.5 m, which will increase the transshipment of goods at the berths No. 34, 35 by 500 thousand tons per year.

 

     2022

 

     In December 2022, in accordance with Rosmorrechflot permit dated December 30, 2022 No. 87-04-BT-39/100-2022-FAMRT, a berthing structure with a total length of 145.5 m (including ferry ramps), including a cargo berth with a length of 36 m, a cargo-passenger berth with a length of 59.5 m, a cargo-passenger berth with a length of 50 m, with berth marks of -5.1 m, designed to handle ships with a length of 39.6 m, a width of 10.4 m and a loaded draft of 2 .5 m. Also, as part of the project, an administrative building and a checkpoint across the state border of the Russian Federation were put into operation. The implementation of the infrastructure project made it possible to ensure safe maritime transportation of passengers and vehicles through the Anadyr estuary between the Ugolny airport, located in the village of Ugolnye Kopi, and the city of Anadyr with the possibility of passenger traffic of up to 20 thousand people per year and cargo traffic of up to 6 thousand vehicles in year.

     In July 2022, in accordance with the permission of Rosmorrechflot dated July 29, 2022 No. 47-RU47507308-ZD-39/56-2022, the constructed water area of the Southern District in the seaport of Ust-Luga was put into operation, consisting of 4 sections with a total area of 73.9 hectares and bottom marks from -12.8 to -5 m. The implementation of the project made it possible to ensure safe passage and maneuvering of Astrakhan-type design vessels with a length of 173.5 m, a width of 23 m and a cargo draft of 10 m in section No. 1 of the water area of the Southern District, heading to the berths of the multi-purpose transshipment complex; design vessels of the "SL-7" and "SO-14" type with a length of up to 152 m, a width of up to 22.8 meters and a loaded draft of up to 9 meters in section No. 2 of the water area of the Southern District, heading to the berths of the timber transshipment complex; design vessels with a length of 23.8 m, a width of 5 m and a loaded draft of 1.4 m in section No. 3 of the water area of the Southern District, proceeding to berths No. 1, 2, 3, 4 of the support fleet base under construction at the mouth of the Khabolovka River; design vessels with a length of 116 m, a width of 26.5 m and a loaded draft of 8.6 m in section No. 4 of the water area of the Southern District, proceeding to berth No. 5 of the support fleet base.

 

     2023

 

     In December 2023, in accordance with the permission of Rosmorrechflot dated December 20, 2023 No. 27-04-BT-39/93-2023-FAMRT, the operational water area at berth No. 2 and the water area of the turning zone in the seaport of Vanino were put into operation on an area of 33.73 hectares with depth marks of -21 and -21.2 m, designed for the safe passage and maneuvering of design vessels of the "SN-163" type with a length of 292 m, a width of 45 m and a loaded draft of 17.1 m to berth No. 2. The implementation of the infrastructure project made it possible ensure the safe approach of design-type vessels to berth No. 2 of the transport and transhipment complex for coal transshipment in the seaport of Vanino.

 

     2004

 

     In 2004 FSUE “Rosmorport” acquired a pilot boat Neptun for the Astrakhan branch pilot service. Besides, a newly constructed buoyage boat “Kalmar” was put into operation. It is used in the seaport of Tuapse for taking members of state committees and crew members to vessels, for inspection and ecological monitoring of the seaport water area, and for other purposes.

 

     2005

 

     In 2005 the enterprise acquired a pilot boat Lider, a bilge water removing vehicle Argus and a dock-tug Olimp for the needs of Vostochny branch and for usage in the seaports of Vostochny and Nahodka. Pilot boats LK-67, Svyatoy Nikolay, and Lotsman-1 were bought for the needs of Vladivostok and Murmansk branches. Besides, FSUE “Rosmorport” acquired a passenger boat KS-110, which is now used in the Greater Port of Saint Petersburg seaport for taking members of state committees and crew members to vessels, and for other purposes.

 

     2006

 

     In 2006 the enterprise bought a pilot boat Fort for the pilotage service in the Ust-Luga seaport, and also a passenger boat RZD 07-31 for measuring works in the Kaliningrad seaport.

 

     2007

 

     In 2007 a pilot boat Konstantin was acquired in order to provide pilotage services in the Ust-Luga seaport.

 

     2008

 

     In 2008 FSUE “Rosmorport” bought out ice breakers Tor and Yuri Lisyanskiy, which the enterprise had used before according to a bare-boat charter contract. That enabled the enterprise to increase the efficiency of ice breaker assistance in the seaports of the Baltic region.

 

     2009

 

      In 2009 the enterprise put into operation the newly constructed Moskva and Sankt-Peterburg lead ice breakers of 16 mW power made by JSC Baltiyskiy Zavod with the help of budget investments. Presently, these vessels provide ice breaking assistance to vessels calling at seaports in the eastern part of the Gulf of Finland. Besides, FSUE “Rosmorport” bought two dock-tugs Kolguyev and Tekhflotets for providing towage services in the Eysk seaport, and a passenger boat RZD 07-30 (later renamed Alkor) for conducting measuring works in the Arkhangelsk seaport, and also bought out an ice breaker Karu which became the 10th ice breaker of the enterprise fleet in the Baltic region.

 

 

     2010

 

     In 2010 FSUE “Rosmorport” put into operation newly constructed dock-tugs Khasan and Aleut for Vladivostok branch, a pilot boat Lotsman-4 for providing pilotage services in Sochi branch, and also a passenger boat Marlin for taking to vessels members of state committees and crew members, and for other purposes, which is now used by Arkhangelsk branch in the Arkhangelsk seaport. That year the enterprise also bought a dock-tug Dobrynya for Sakhalin branch and a passenger boat Minor for the needs of Vostochny branch.

 

     2011

 

     In 2011 the enterprise put into operation a newly constructed passenger boat Marlin for the needs of Astrakhan branch and a pilot boat Dmitry Sirotkin (project BLV01) designed for installation of floating navigational aids equipment, their maintenance, uninstallation, and other additional functions, which is presently used by the North-West basin branch in the Greater port of Saint Petersburg water area. Besides, a passenger boat “Antares” and a bilge water removing ship Krakovets were acquired for the needs of North-West basin branch, the former for taking members of state committees and crews to vessels, and other purposes, the latter for providing ecological services in the Ust-Luga seaport (removing solid waste, bilge and effluent waters from vessels). In order to provide marine passenger transportation between the seaport of Sochi and Tuapse, and also between Sochi (Russia) and Gagra (Republic of Abkhazia), two high speed catamarans Sochi-1 and Sochi-2 each fitting up to 300 passengers were acquired for Sochi branch. The enterprise completely bought out a marine freight railway-automobile ferry Baltiysk which had been used before on leasing conditions.

 

 

     2012

 

     In 2012 FSUE “Rosmorport” bought a self-propelled bilge dredger Ivan Cheremisinov equipped by a clamp bucket for Arkhangelsk branch to conduct dredging works in the Astrakhan and Olya seaports water area and the Volgo-Caspian canal, and also a dredging convoy, including a dock-tug Viktor Olenich, a non-self-propelled dredger Farvater and a non-self-propelled barge Stvor, for Sakhalin branch to conduct dredging works in the water areas and the approaching canals of the Sakhalin seaports. Also in 2012 the brand new multipurpose vessels Marlin, Tamanets, Lebedin and Akvamarin were set in operation to be used by the Azovo-Chernomorsky basin branch and Arkhangelsk branch and Astrakhan branch in order to provide crew boat services, transportation of state commisions, to provide pilotage services and other purposes in sea ports of Tuapse, Kavkaz and Arkhangelsk. In November 2012 the new vessel Vega was set into operation. It is operated by the North-West basin branch for intallation of navigation floating means in the sea port of Kaliningrad and approaches, and for maintanance, deinstallation and for other purposes connected with the mitigation of oil spills consequences. The same month the new tugboats Dobrynya and Muromets were set into operation. They are used by the Azov basin branch in the sea port of Rostov-on-Don. In 2012 the enterprise also bought an amphibia boat named Khivus-10, which was designed for transportation of personnel, equipment and provision to the divisions of Navigation and Hydrographic Service of the Astrakhan Branch located at the Volga-Caspian sea navigable canal, maintenance of the VTS and GMDSS radio technical stations and other purposes as a crew boat. In November 2012 the enterprise acquired the scow Ligatne for the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch to use it for dredging works in the Azovo-Donskoy Sea Canal and the Azov Sea.

 

 

     2013

 

     In 2013 the enterprise put into operation the Bora and the Stremitel'ny multi-purpose boats of the MPB14 project, designed for the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch and the Azov Basin Branch in order to deliver members of state committees, vessel crews, providing pilotage services, and other purposes in the seaports of Novorossiysk, Azov, Rostov-on-Don, and Ust-Luga. In July of the same year the enterprise put into operation the newly built Vavchuga buoy boat of project Р1760М designed to perform installation of floating aids to navigation on the approaches and in the water area of the Arkhangelsk seaport, their maitenance and removal, as well as to be used for other purposes by the Arkhangelsk Branch in accordance with its designated functions. In the same month new boat Sargan (project "Nautilus-800") was set into operation for the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch in order to perform hydrographic research in Tuapse Seaport. Moreover, the enteprised purchased Artemiy Volynsky non-self-propelled dregder (IHC Beaver 65DDSP project) to perform dredging in Astrakhan Seaport and Volga-Caspian marine canal.

 

     2014

 

     In 2014 new boat Platan (WB22MT project) was set into operation, and Elbrus crew boat was bought for the Sochi Branch to carry members of state commissions, members of crew on board of vessels and to provide pilotage and other services in Sochi Seaport. Platan was used at Winter Olympic Games 2014. In December 2014 the enterprise set into operation Admiral Lazarev, Admiral Serebryakov and General Rayevsky tugs to perform towage and other maneuvering vessels in the seaport. Irbis pilotage vessel was also purchased to install floating aids to navigation, their maintenance and deinstallment.
 

 

     2015

 

     In 2015 new motorboats Kapitan Belyaev, Nord and Sergey Cherednikov (ST23WI project) were set into operation in the North-Western Basin Branch. The boats are used to carry members of state commissions, members of crew on board of vessels and pilots on board of vessels, transship cargo, perform ecological monitoring of the seaport. Moreover, the following hydrographic boats were also set into operation: Iskatel, Albatros and Gals (Nautilus-800 project). The boats are used in the Astrakhan, Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin and Makhachkala Branches to perform hydrographic research. In 2015 the enterprise also acquired Severnaya bucket ladder dredger and Bolgradskaya self-propelled sludge-removal barge for the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch for the dredging purposes, and Taifun multipurpose ice class boat for the Petropavlovsk Branch for delivering members of state commissions and crew members to the vessels, carriage of goods, for inspection and ecological monitoring of water areas of seaports, as well as delivering pilots on board the vessels. 

 

     2016

 

     In 2016 the enterprise commissioned new constructed vessels:
     a) Krutoyar, Yuri Romanchenko and Kapitan Shershnev mark boats for the needs of the North-Western Basin Branch, Azov Basin Branch and Arkhangelsk Branch consequently, in order to maintain aids to navigation of the branches, which are located in the water areas and on the approaches to the seaports of the eastern part of the Gulf of Finland, Azov Sea and White Sea;
     b) Sommers, Kronshlot and Kadosh dredging vessels with hold volume of 1000 cubic metres for the needs of the North-Western Basin Branch and Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch consequently, which are designed for dredging in order to maintain selected depths in the waters and approaches to the corresponding seaports in the Eastern part of the Gulf of Finland and in the Black Sea;
     c) Severnaya Dvina dredging vessel with the hold volume of 2000 cubic metres for the needs of the Arkhangelsk Branch and non-self-propelled dredger Petr Sablin of project CSD-650 for the needs of the Astrakhan Branch, designed to conduct dredging in order to maintain the selected depths in the waters and approaches to seaports in the White Sea and at the Volga-Caspian Seaway Canal;
     d) Bata ice-strengthed workboat for the needs of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch in order to deliver members of state committees and crew members, carry cargo on the deck, perform inspection and ecological monitoring of waters, deliver pilots to vessels in the seaports of Kavkaz, Taman and Temryuk.

     e) Novorossiysk icebreaker of Project 21900M designed for the North-Western Basin Branch to work as a linear icebreaker, tow vessels and other floating facilities in ice and in open water, as well as to provide aid to vessels and carry out rescue operations in ice conditions and open water.

 

     2017

 

     In 2017 the following newly built vessels have been put into operation:

     a) the Spolokhi workboat with ice reinforcement has been put into operation for the needs of the Arkhangelsk Branch with the aim of transporting members of state commissions and crewmembers, transshipping cargoes on deck, inspecting and environmentally monitoring water areas, delivering pilots to vessels in the seaport of Arkhangelsk.

     b) the Bospor workboat with ice reinforcement has been put into operation for the needs of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch with the aim of transporting members of state commissions and crewmembers, transshipping cargoes on deck, inspecting and environmentally monitoring water areas, delivering pilots to vessels in the seaport of Novorossiysk.

     c) the Yevgeny Vasilyev workboat with ice reinforcement has been put into operation for the needs of the Astrakhan Branch with the aim of transporting members of state commissions, crewmembers, transshipping cargoes on deck, inspecting and environmentally monitoring water areas, delivering pilots to vessels in the seaport of Olya.

     d) the Kapitan Cheremnykh workboat with ice reinforcement has been put into operation for the needs of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch with the aim of transporting members of state commissions and crewmembers, transshipping cargoes on deck, inspecting and environmentally monitoring water areas, delivering pilots to vessels in the seaport of Novorossiysk.

     e) the Adis workboat with ice reinforcement has been put into operation for the needs of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch with the aim of transporting members of state commissions and crewmembers, transshipping cargoes on deck, inspecting and environmentally monitoring water areas, delivering pilots to vessels in the seaport of Novorossiysk.

     f) the Viktor Kuskov mark boat with ice reinforcement has been put into operation for the needs of the North-Western Basin Branch with the aim of transporting members of state commissions and crewmembers, transshipping cargoes on deck, inspecting and environmentally monitoring water areas, delivering pilots to vessels in the seaport of Ust Luga.

 

     2018

 

     In 2018 the following newly built vessels have been put into operation:

     a) the Fortuna mark boat with ice reinforcement has been put into operation for the needs of the North-Western Basin Branch with the aim of transporting members of state commissions and crewmembers, transshipping cargoes on deck, inspecting and environmentally monitoring water areas, delivering pilots to vessels in the seaport of Kaliningrad.

     b) the Trudovaya hopper barge has been put into operation for the needs of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch for the purpose of transporting the soils extracted during the dredging works performed in the water area and on the approaches to the seaport of Kavkaz.

     c) the Silnaya self-propelled mud boat for the needs of the Makhachkala Branch to transport extracted soil during dredging operations in the water area of and on the approaches toward the seaport of Makhachkala.

 

     2019

 

     In 2019 the enterprise put into operation newly built vessels:
     a) the Rabochaya self-propelled mud boat of HB-900 Project;
     b) the Yuri Maslyukov dredger with the hold volume of 2,000 cubic meters for the needs of the Arkhangelsk Branch to transport extracted soil during dredging operations in the water area of and on the approaches toward the seaport of Sabetta.
