FSUE "Rosmorport" announced a tender for the continued construction of an international maritime terminal in the city of Pionersky of the Kaliningrad Region. This event is implemented within the framework of the state program of the Russian Federation "Development of the transport system" and a comprehensive plan for the modernization and expansion of the main infrastructure for the period until 2024.
As a result of the work under the contract, there will be established an international cargo and passenger terminal, including 2 berths with a total length of 725 meters and a water area for receiving cargo and passenger ferries and modern cruise vessels, a berth for port fleet vessels with a length of 110 meters, fencing and coastal structures, as well as the building and coastal infrastructure of the terminal.

The international maritime terminal in the Kaliningrad Region is one of the largest infrastructure projects of the North-Western Federal District. Within the framework of the project, it is planned to build berths for receiving cruise vessels with a maximum passenger flow through the marine terminal in the amount of 305 thousand people per year, and maximum cargo flow of up to 80 thousand units of road transport per year. Terminal project implementation will contribute to the dynamic development of the Kaliningrad Region in the field of sea ferry and cruise transportation.
